Felt it might be more appropriate to have a General Title, since I've been posting my V300 info on Various V300 question sites. I previously posted that the green readings on my home course were mapped extremely inaccurately and that I was going to have to remap the front and back of each green on the course, as well as check other courses I play. I think I'm having a serious problem with my V300 and wonder if it might be defective. After re-mapping the front and back of each green, I rechecked yestereday and some of them were Off AGAIN. Also, I once checked from the cart (cart-path only due to rainy conditions) and got a reading of 220 yds to front of green, 270 to back (that green is NOT 50 yds long, and it certainly did not look THAT Far to the green from the cart). Double-checked and my unit was set on the correct hole, and it was reading in Yards. Carried the unit with me to my ball, with club I would need from about 200 yds, -- about 40 yds away from cart, directly in line with cart, and assumed I would get a reading of approximately 20 yds Closer to hole, since ball would be more in line with pin. Got to my ball and it read 140 yds to Front of Green. Had to return to cart to change clubs, and took ANOTHER Reading from Cart. THIS Time it said 160 yds to front of green. Given my advancing age and having learned from experience that I frequently screw things up, I'm trying to figure out what I might have pressed wrong to get such incorrect readings. The numbers weren't changing, and I had 8 Sats, despite the rainy conditions. Combined with the fact that I had to Re-Map front and back of the only 2 greens I checked, I have serious regrets over my purchase. I'm going to contact Customer Service and see if they have any suggestions.
