I have two Cleveland drivers (XL, Launcher), Cleveland CG Reds, Cleveland CG14 SW,LW. Thinking of getting a Cleveland hybrid to replace my fairway woods.

What # to replace the 3 wood and what # to replace the 5 wood?

P.S. I saw the Cleveland Club Count (?) bag - clever idea (since I leave at least one club on the course per round), but man is that thing HEAVY!!! Do they have a Delco battery in there?

I'm pretty close to an all cally bag, not by choice but by what works. Only non-cally currently is the lob wedge (satin cg14) and my tour Cameron which eventhough I tried the prototype#1 for a few rounds... the blade is better for me.

Woods : Callaway Razr TA, Titleist F3-05
Hybrid : Adams LSP XTD
Irons : Fourteen TC910 3&4I, Nike VRProCombo 5-PW
Wedges : Fourteen RM-11 54/60
Putter : Nike Method 003 Oven

I use to be all about Mizuno and every club in my bag was made by them. I opened my mind a little more since then and discovered KZG from friend. Now I'm all about them. I had their Q driver, but sold it because it was too expensive for me at the time. Now I play a Taylormade Burner that I found online for 130! I had a 15* 3 wood and 19* 5 wood made by KZG, but I decided to put in a 17* 2 iron instead so that I could use a sand wedge because all I had for wedges at the time were pitching, gap, and lob. My 17* PRGR 200i 2 hybrid iron I don't know if I'll ever take out of my bag. My irons are KZG double forged blades, the best feeling irons I've ever played out of the 11 sets in the past 6 months that I've been playing golf. My 52* gap wedge is a Mizuno MP Series, my 56* sand wedge is a Mizuno MP R series, and my 60* is a Nike. My putter is a KZG blade style putter, which I love.

So, to answer your question, KZG is definitely still my favorite company, but that doesn't mean that I'm afraid to mix and match.

What I use:

Driver: 9.5* Taylormade Burner w/ Reg flex Fuji Speeder 553 shaft

Hybrid: 17* PRGR 200i 2 iron w/ PRGR M45 100mph shaft

Irons: KZG Forged Blades 3(21*)-PW(47*) w/ TT DG S300 Sensicore shafts

Wedges: Mizuno MP Series 52* w/ Rifle 5.5 shaft, Mizuno MP R Series 56* w/ DG wedge shaft, Nike Forged 60* lob wedge w/ DG wedge shaft

Putter: KZG Forged Blade

Balls: Nike ONE BLACK, Bridgestone Tour B330, Taylormade TP BLACK LDP, Titleist Pro V1x

Bag: Ogio Fire Red Octane stand bag

I don't think I'd use a full set of one OEM's stuff unless it was free or they were paying me. However I do use 12 Titleist clubs, most of which were free or just had to pay the shaft upgade. It could be all 14 if the 909 hybrid is better than my Adams.

X-Forged UT (#3- 21)- DG X700
716MB (5-PW)- DG S400
Vokey (TVD SM7 RAW 52 & SM6 RAW 58)- DG S400

Albeit I've got a fairly tidy bag brand-wise currently, I've always struggled to not have a mixture in the bag. I don't change clubs all that often, but in my golfing life I've had things vary between just a couple of OEMs through as many as five or six brands at any one time.

Iron-wise I've tended to be a Mizuno player and played Mizzies for more than half my 22 years' playing. I've also dabbled with Ping Eye 2s and some Titleist irons in my time. My current Nikes have been in for over 6 years now, having replaced some 681s. I still carry a 1 iron and I tend to favor Ping, Mizuno or Cobra for that club amongst the ones I've got in my stash.

Driver-wise, I played Taylor Mades for a long time and then moved on to a Cobra and several Titleist models before again settling on a Nike driver that's pretty long in the tooth now.

My 3 wood has been in the bag for about 3 years or so, but for 15+ years I played one of a couple of Taylor Made models.

Wedge-wise, I've mainly stuck with Eye 2s, 588s or Vokeys - albeit yet another Nike in the form of a 60-degree wedge has been in the bag for the last few years.

Putters essentially mean 'Anser-shaped' and have been either Ping or Titleist for years on a pretty frequent rotation.

Honestly, I'd struggle to go completely over to one OEM. Nike don't make a putter or a sand wedge that I can get on with, and the only brand that would have any chance would be Titleist who have a solid performer in all the departments.

Nike Ignite 410 10.5° Grafalloy Blue X

Nike T60 15° Fujikura Speeder 757 X

Titleist 913F 19° Mitsubishi Diamana BB 83X or Titleist 712U 2-iron 19° KBS Tour S

Titleist 712U 3-iron 22° KBS Tour S

Titleist 681 4-iron to 9-iron KBS Tour S

Titleist SM5 48.08F Raw 49° KBS Tour S

Titleist SM5 56.10M Raw 56° KBS Tour S

Ping Eye 2 Gorge L Wedge 60° KBS Tour S  &  Ping Pal

i just got a new set of clubs, cleveland 588dsg wedges, cleveland cg red irons, cleveland hibore xls hybrid and fairway woods, and a cleveland hibore xls driver. i was wondering how many of you out there use only one company in your bag and what the company is.

im a recent beleiver to having your clubs fitted using the trackman or launch moniter. i dont get why most juniors insist on having a full set of an OEM clubs. why spend 2K-4K on a bag when their not the best clubs for you. just seems like some would rather look good then play good.

I also have stuff lying around.

I'm guessing I could be happy with all Callaway or all Nike. Cleveland does nothing for me except the wedges and Adams wedges/woods do nothing for me.

There was one point where i had all the same clubs in the bag but i didnt actually like them all so no point! I think Titleist is the only company that has products that i would be happy using through the bag and will probably look into them when i have some cash but for the most part its been Mizuno for me... I think unless your being paid or get the clubs for free then its kinda pointless, why not pay a bit more and use whats right for you or what you feel comfortable with...

My question is why?

I base my club choices on which ones I get the best results from, and not buy some name branded on it. (albeit for some people maybe one OEM is all they need to achieve the best results with all clubs, to those I apologize) I think this is probably more the exception, rather than the rule. With the ease of accessibility to get on a launch monitor these days, I think this is what everyone should do to figure their set out. Hit all the OEMs clubs and whichever ones perform the best should go in your bag. If that is one manufacturer so be it, if it is 14, then so be that. Just my opinion.

Some of you guys are more worried about how you look, than what puts the ball in the hole in the least amount of strokes.

I used to be a big Callaway fan but since I brought my irons and wedges it's all been about mizuno. I then added the Mizuno bag and am now looking at getting a Fli Hi CLK sometime soon. I kind of like having my clubs predominantly one brand especially Mizuno because they're not as common as a brand suh as Taylormade or titleist. That said, a bag of entirely Titleist stuff would go down alright if my funds would allow it.

Good post, completely agree with this. Doesn't make any sence unless your sponsored.

I try to do everything I can to only play Nickent. There are only a few clubs where I differ including a 15* driver as a 3-wood in my bag...if Nickent made one I would be playing it. That club plus a 61* Solus are my only different one but I stay as loyal as any person can be...even with a Nickent bag, hat, and watch!
