thank you!! the buttonback is my dream putter. i have been dying for one of these since i first saw it. this (along with the tour burner tp driver) is gonna be my last impulse/overexpensive club for quite sometime. get it while you can i guess.

why no 35" buttonbacks?

The Newport's are definitely 350. I've got one. :rolleyes: They come at 34" with 15g weights (350).

Just ordered mine! 34" does suck. Have to send it in for the royal treatment. Damn the grip looks lovely. Will have to reshaft it with a ping grip and keep the orginal shaft with grip. Wonder if I can just mail in the head to the studio to change the weights and shaft.

Is the buttonback something that is worth looking into as an investment?

Not that I don't want to buy one to roll, but the unique look of the back and the Tel3 insert makes me think that it will be sought after in the future.

The button back only comes in 34" 350 grams, it can however, be customized by Scotty via the Custom Shop (length, loft, lie, weights etc.) but it will cost extra.

I just emailed Discount Dans Golf. They say they should ship starting yesterday. Im gonna try to get one of the first Left Handed Squarebacks.. Hopefully a left handed 35" 350 grm will be available soon.

No. The buttonbacks are a limited run and they are all 34/350. Once you receive yours you can send it into the Custom Shop and make it whatever length/weight you want, that is what is so great about the Select Series.

For me I am just going to swap weights/shaft with my 33/360 Midslant and have a 33/360 Button Back with the midsize baby t grip.

Just ordered a Newport 2 buttonback from my local club. I called Morton's first, and they said they only had 3 Newports left at $499. I really wanted the NP2 so I called a local club and they priced matched at $500, with a delivery of 10-14 business days. I had $300 in credit at the pro shop, so for only $200 out of pocket, I couldn't pass it up.

My club said my squareback would ship yesterday.

Today rep called and said will ship in 3-5 days.
