Miura Driver

Anyone tried the new Miura Precious Edition driver yet?

has anyone tried it? what's it like?

I have not tried the model you are talking about but I have tried another Miura driver before. Nothing special but not that bad either. However, I would say that Miura is somewhat like Mizuno where people mostly buy their irons but not their woods. Too many better woods out there for the same price IMPO.

I have this Driver, it has just been shafted with a Fubuki. Just getting it back from the club builder today. Will get out the first of the week and run it through a range session. I originally bought the head and shaft to re sell. From what I'm hearing it just might make the bag.

Should have a review by Tuesday eve.

390cc never looked so good.

Is it me or does this make the Burner look just butt ugly!!

Face angle really that closed? Or is it the angle?

On the Miura?

It actually sets up square. Bad angle, was just trying to show a size/shape comparison.

I was custom fitted to a 10.5 degree head and a Matrix X-con shaft and it is by far the best driver I have ever owned, both in terms of consistency, distance, and accuracy. I like the smaller size head and have absolutely no problem with it. I am a 10 handicap. Also play Miura irons (301's), wedges, and putter.

I hit this Driver a few days a go at the range and really liked the feel. Really tight dispersion and the Fubuki seems to really like the smaller head. It kicks like a mule.

Played my first round of Golf with it today and have fallen in love with this Driver and shaft combo. I was about 5-10 yards longer than the Tourstage Driver that I just happen to think is the best all around Driver I've ever played.

The best description that comes to mind when hitting this is "Sledgehammer." Going out tomorrow with some friends for a casual game and am going to take both Drivers and hit each one off of the tee. My friends are looking forward to hitting it side by side with their Drivers as well.

I'm not convinced at this point that the smaller cc Drivers aren't going to produce better feel and performance unless you are looking for max forgiveness. More tomorrow night.

Two more rounds with this Driver. At the club builders advice (wrx member "goodsie") the SW was built at D3

I'm not going to say that it's the head that's giving me a couple of extra yards but the head is as solid as they come. Has a great muted, thud, sound to it. No tink. The shaft with this head at this SW is kicking perfectly. The combination of this shaft and head are a perfect match.

I haven't hit another combination that hits the ball farther or feels any better. If you have a favorite shaft you're looking to install in a Driver head and want to try a 390cc Driver this is the one.

I have the 10.5 with the Fujikura Robax red. Best driver I have ever hit. Long and straight. I doubt I'll ever go back to thoise ugly 460cc heads again.

Been 2 months and the Miura/Fubuki combo are still in the bag.

It is the most predictable, most consistent Combination I've hit. Had 4 other Quality Drivers over the last couple of weeks try and dethrone this thing but they all failed.

that's great you found a good combo.

the 390cc is a bit small. I like 420cc and the 460cc is too big to turn over easily.

the only 460 head that doesn't look that big is the Tourstage XDrive 460
