Charles Howell III putter attachment

At the Valero on Sunday I saw CH III with a deal that clipped onto the face of his Scotty. He would set the ball in it, take the putter back with the ballin the "deal" and then on the forward swing the ball would come out. It seemed to be promoting a short backswing and longer follow through.

THIS IS THE CAUSE OF MY PUTTING WOES!

Anyone have any clue what he was using and where I can get one?

I had one...but never got much from it. Sold on ebay for about $75 last year.

Find a Zen Oracle Putter on ebay or a bst - it has the hole in it.

Rumor has it that Scotty stopped making the Cube because he was infringing on Zen's patent.

I also sold mine a couple of years ago for around $75 - it was a $40 product. The Cube was promoted as a way to find your path - tells you if you were manipulating the putter with your hands or had the ball in the wrong position. I found it was no cure-all.

Instead use a drill

If you're trying to shorten your swing on the putting stroke, don't take it back -- a decent drill to get you to shorten the stroke is to line up the putter with your ball and take no back stroke -- push it forward in your normal stroke -- it will force you to relax your upper body (shoulders). Try it - several times

Another drill I use is to take less back swing, pause imperceptibly, then tell yourself to relax and let the putt go - tell yourself to massage the ball - you'll relax and take the hit out of the putt.

Pelz has one as well you can buy for about $20 bucks. I forget the name of it but it has adhesives that clip on to your putter face. I used it for a while.

I have the Pelz putter clips too, but I think it's mostly used to promote center contact.

If he licensed it, why did he stop making the cube? If he licensed it, he'd have no trouble, then, licensing SeeMore's technology, instead of infringing on it.

Agree, it is shameless how Scotty is stealing Seemore's idea.
