yea i got fat fingers too. to get the paint off its soooo easy. acetone in a bowl. dip a q tip and just rub the paint itll come off instantly. to put it on i just found it better to use a toothpick. the green looks better and i am going to redo the other side because the blue looks a little gloppy. pics of the other side will be up in a minute

i love it.....i wanna do mine..now i first take the red off with a q-tip and some acetone what kind of paint do i use and how does it look with no color just curious thanks for the idea.....

i use testors paint from any hobby store. works pretty good.

do not use the testors. it doesnt look translucent trust me it look so much better with the tamiya acrylic clear . o and bear yea it look pretty nice with no color. i almost kept two circles just silver and one in the middle red. its nice cause you can take this stuff off in a minute and put another one in about a minute too and it dries right away. good luck to anyone trying. its easy.

no prob. i used the testors for the paint fill on my vokeys, but definately this looks better on the putter. the testors may look better-depends on the look your going for

i am going for......"I hope i dont F@#$ up this expensive golf club.!.!"

umm yeah i said a prayer before i did mine. i was real nervous, but in the back of my mind i thought.. if i mess it up i can send it to the custom shop. cant mess up cause you can just take the fill off and redo 1000000s of times. i kept getting bubbles so i redid it a bunch. and rrkman i live in nj and tomorrow we are expecting snow too lol.

changing paintfill is quite easy so you shouldnt have any reservations, although i guess a prayer could never hurt.lol.... whatever paint brand you use just use the CLEAR version on the scotty's, some people call them candies as well. Its more translucent and allows you to see the mill marks and everything which gives a nice effect.

Great job Matt! I know how it photographs so I DO know how that looks in person. There is no comparison.

For those who like the stripped look- I don't have any pics right now, but one of the classiest and best fills that I have done to date is stripping all of the paint from the studio select and then using the Tamiya "smoke" It is a translucent smoke color and looks absolutely AWESOME on a studio select. The one I did, I did the circles "smoke" and the lettering black. Coolest solid fill yet.

I will post an "En Fuego" fill this weekend that I will be doing for a person here in Austin that will change the way people think about paintfill on Scotty's. (I am waiting on my new stamps)
