Yes, tungsten weights in the face. ETBW stands for Extreme Tungsten Back Weighting I believe. For me the headweight is ideal and I love the look of the inserts.

Thanks jick. I'll definitely be gaming it and will let you know how it goes. I had a Ping Redwood Anser black satin and was disappointed with the durability of that, but I've a feeling this will be a lot better.

Gotta love Whitlam putters. I have the exact same one except with a coldstar finish and yellow paintfill. It's one of my gamers...can always depend on it.

Was the Coldstar in stainless or carbon steel? How's the durability on that one?

I'm 99.99% sure my Coldstar Devon ETBW is carbon steel. Ironically I own a stainless steel Whitlam (prototype model) which feels really nice as well. I did the magnet test - it sticks to the coldstar, but will not stick to my prototype model.

Coldstar durability has been fantastic! I have (and still do) owned other carbon steel putters which show wear to the finish. The Coldstar finish still looks like new with no wear at all (I've owned and gamed it for about 2 years).

Between the 2, I prefer the feel of the carbon just a tad more. Plus, the set-up/lines of the ETBW is more to my preference (more defined angles/lines).

My ETBW dark I'm is stainless steel and it feels great. It's also interesting to see a pearlized finish on SS as I'm sure it's easier to apply this to carbon steel.

Everyone has their own preference of course but the Devon is my one of the nicest Anser style heads I have seen. Like you I prefer the defined angles over more rounded Anser shapes. This thing is a real treat to putt with.
