Page Belcher (Tulsa, OK)

been 10 years or so, but they are good public tracks. Greens on Old Page are HUGE.

played it a few years back with some friends. pretty sure we played the old course and it was a good course. played in october and the course was in good shape. thought it was a little more old school/traditional parkland style course that required some shot shaping and placement off the tee. would definetly play it again.

Play Stone Creek out at Page Belcher. Better track in my opinion.

LaFortune is a fun track in the middle of town.

Forrest Ridge out in Broken Arrow is a great track. I have heard good things about Emerald Falls as well.

if your looking for suggestions, i had a blast playing white hawk down in bixby. very fun track.

I would suggest Stone Creek over Ole Page. I would also recommend Clary Fields. If your willing to make the drive, I wouldn't miss Karsten Creek out west in Stillwater.

i did play Karsten about 7 or 8 years ago. I loved it. We did consider LaFortune too. We also thought about Forrest Ridge because we're staying in Broken Arrow (Barely, we're just east of Garnett off of 71st street.) We had to make a decision and we went with Page Belcher because they start their twilight rates at 1:00. We were trying to think of the whole group as far a rates and everything and it looked like 2 good courses. We're gonna play Friday and Saturday, so maybe we'll play both courses.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I'm really going to push for Stone Creek now. I'm guessing that a tee time won't be too much of a problem with it being chilly out now.

You may also consider Battle Creek which is fairly close to where you are located.

I live at Forest Ridge and highly recommend the course. I played Emerald Falls (just down the road from Forest Ridge) when it first opened. Nice layout and I have heard it has really started to mature nicely.

La Fortune is well maintained for a city owned course. Right now rounds are probably quick given the weather. In the summertime rounds are close to 5 hours as it gets alot of traffic.

Clary Fields is a nice layout with a couple of interesting holes. Haven't played it in a while but always enjoy it.

White Hawk in Bixby is always in pretty good shape. About the same as Battle Creek in my opinion.

Last time I played Page it was in some rough shape as far as the greens go but that was over a year ago. I think everyone here has pretty much stated what I'd say.

It's a shame you can't play the Cherokee course. It's a Perry Maxwell design and I find it pretty challenging. Usually the greens are pretty quick as well.

Not a big fan of Battle Creek since they changed the layout. White Hawk has the same feel, a little better, but I'm not big on course with houses all around them.

I must say that when Page was in good shape (which it could be now), it is an enjoyable course.

Last time I played out at Ole Page the greens were sand pits. This was a few years ago though. Stone Creek would be my choice if I was back in T-town. Another choice no one has listed would be Mohawk out by the Zoo/Airport area.

Played Old Page and Stone Creek earlier this year and have to say they have a lot of potential, but were not in very good condition. Greens were very slow and had numerous bare and sandy areas... Range at the facility is also a big minus and I wonder if they have bought new range balls in the last two years. If they improved the condition of Stone Creek, it could be one of the best layouts in the state....

Definitely give Emerald Falls a go it is a very nice track. LaFortune is great but be forwarned it is often referred to as a championship track with putt putt greens as they are severely undulated. I don't recommend Page as the last time I played the greens were horrible, Stone is a nice track. If you are up for a drive Heritage Hills in Claremore is worth a shot. Clary is nice as is White Hawk. Also check Golfnow.com and save some coin on your golf while you are in town. I am playing Forest Ridge Monday at 1:10 w/ a cart and range balls for $26.04 through golfnow which would normally run $50+
