Gear for college golf team

A bag, a couple shirts, and balls seem to be the norm for every player to get. When I played jr. col. golf we got all of the above and a glove per tournament and a wind jacket. Our coach, each year got us a "special small something". My first year it was an Eagle headcover from daphnes (our mascot) and the next year an umbrella with our school logo and mascot on it.

A buddy of mine plays D-II and they get a new bag every year, like 3 or 4 shirts every year, balls for every tournament, hats, pants, shorts, etc... they really get hooked up. Good luck.

The chances of this happening are slim and none, but I know the University of Kentucky circa 2005[JB Holmes era] got custom headcovers from Scotty Cameron. They were all white, with Blue dancing UK's all over. Scotty required all the guys who got one to sign a contract saying they wouldn't sell it.

You should call around to companies like titleist, TMAG, nike, etc. and see if they would hook you up with stuff. IF they would with only balls and hats, ask someone else for clothes. You'll at least be able to get it for cheap cheap

A good start would be to get your team some Hoofer Vantages with your logo and team colors, which can easily be ordered through PING, and then a 3 or 4 shirts for each player and hats.

I play for Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. We just went varsity 3 years ago and just moved out of the skyline conference this year. We still play a few events there though. The basic equipment for each team in the conference is a bag, hats, and shirts. As far as different outfits are concerned, 3 is usually a good number because most of the tournaments aren't longer than 3 days. For clubs, almost every major manufacturer offers a college discount that's well below regular price. Just look on the websites for phone numbers to corporate. They can probably direct you to the club reps and get you all set with that. Looking forward to playing against you!

good suggestion but is there a certain person or department you have to get a hold of to set something like this up? like customer srevice or something of that sort?

You can get set-up for team discount prices for Adidas apparel (shirts, shorts, pants, shoes, raingear, etc.), Adidas & TaylorMade accessories (balls, gloves, towels, belts, socks, etc.) and TaylorMade equipment (drivers, irons, putters, wedges, etc.).

Can attest to this, men's team do have custom uk puttercovers from scotty because of their relationship with titleist, however the women's team does not have the same privledge.

If the university has a contract with a certain company (Adidas, Nike, underarmour, etc) colleges are usually limited to buying apparel/uniforms from these companies due to contract obligations. If this is not the case for your school, you should be able to buy from any apparel company as long as it is within your budget.
