Tried the Cleveland Classics Putters Today

During my weekly lunchtime visit to the nearby PGA Tour Superstore, I noted they had stock of the new Cleveland Classics putters.

I tried out the Classic 2, which is very similar in design to the Odyssey #9, but without the insert. I very much liked the feel of this putter, seemed a bit heavier than my #9, but had a very solid but soft feel.

They also have The Classic 1 (Anser style) and Classic 3 (Zing style).

These putters retail for only $70 ! A very good value indeed!

That's so funny because I was at my local Golf Galaxy at lunch today doing the same thing.

I too LOVED the look and feel of the Classic 2. One of the best feeling putters I've hit in a while. I couldn't believe it when I looked at the price tag and it said $69.99 :o

This putter is a STEAL at this price and feels as good or better than most putters costing 2 or 3 times as much.

It will be in my bag next year. At that price, how can you not at least give it a run. Another winner for Cleveland.

I did the same thing today I took my driver to my local golf shop to get some work done on it. I saw the Cleveland putters and I was hitting them around and I thought they did have a great feel but I was wondering how they would work on a real green? I might go get one tomorrow and try it out.

Well I went and tried one out today on the putting green at our golf course and I absolutely love this putter. I got the Cleveland 2 it looks just like the odyssey #9. I didn't miss a putt within 6ft with this putter. It has a great feel and rolls the ball very well. Tomorrow I am taking it out to actually play a round with it but if I play well with it tomorrow it will be in my bag for a long time. But I will keep everyone updated.
