I was just wondering which putters had the best feel.

I love my Sizemore! My buddies who have putted with it like it too. It's all really personal preference but the grip seems to change the fell too.

Of course I am one sided because I build my own but my favorite putter is one that I built out of carbon 1018 steel 34" shaft 365g w/ a gripmaster stitchback, it feels like butter, but solid.

carbon steel and aluminum feel good to me

the xg inserts (the original ones) feel like the rubber they are (not good). copper feels niceeee. so does 303 SS (in certain putters, ping redwood or rife aussie) and aluminum is somewhere in the middle, closer to the 'softer' side.

Well, I've come to be a Cameron man myself. Don't know what it is, but it just draws me in. I think it was the big name originally (few years ago), but once they had me, I've been stuck. It's really not an ego thing, it's not the huge name hype, it's not his crazy marketing tactics to get extra unnecessary dollars out of you...I just plain like a lot of Scotty Cameron's

With that said, I'd really like a Byron 006. They're buttery smooth, and balance is great. Also, certain Bettinardi's are money. Outside of that, I've tried nearly everything I see, but nothing quite matches up for me.

The answer is subjective so there is no one answer. It's like asking who the most beautiful woman in the world is.

Personally, I like the feel of a qaulity milled 303 stainless steel putter. I hate inserts--especially inserts made of a polymer.

Haha, I have to comment. Don't get me wrong, they are nice and obviously as I stated I'd like to have one around again eventually...but how can you say your answer is Byron without ever hitting one?

What's the best feeling driver? I've never hit one, but I know the answer would be a Titleist 909. Nope, I could never say that. In fact, I once said the 907's were great because of all the talk and went in there thinking I'd just bomb it no problems. Actually ended up hating both the D1 and D2. So it's just really tough to say such things without experience is all.

I agree. I own 4 Byron's, and I wouldn't put any of them in the top 5 even. They are nice, but not the best feeling putter you can buy. The Copper Byron I have would be close to the top 5, but still not there.

The most feel I have experienced is the 8802 with green label head speed shaft.

Although anything with a solid steel head and thin grip should give lots of feel.

Honma, I have an 8802 style Honma and it is pretty sweet.

I've owned them all, but there are two that stand out to me ... soft carbon steel (ones like old Cameron's) or 303 SS (like Cameron Studio Stainless, Rife, Gauge Design, Machine, Ping Redwood), have the softest feel.

I love my American Classic VII. To me it represents the best of the past (style and shape), the best of the new (modern manufacturing) and most importantly it fits my style of stroke (arc). I think everyone here has putted amazing once with something in their past or present, mine is a heel-shafted putter, had plenty of toe-flow and just a dream to look at! http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/style_emotic...lt/clapping.gif

My point is whatever the best feeling putter is out there, it still wont feel as good as what I THINK the American Classic VII feels like, so to me this is the best feeling putter. Heck, if I putted awesome with a center-shaft mallet, that would be the best feeling putter as nothing feels as good as picking the ball out of the hole after sinking great putts consistently!!!!

Impossible to say, as it depends on everyone trying every putter and then liking the same things in terms of feel.

I also can't comment because I haven't tried a Byron, and they ARE the best apparently, didn't you know that MchSt805 :D
