Ping College Bags

I have a Hoofer 3 replete with Drunken W and a Bucky Badger on the ball pocket. There is a good 9 hole muni about 0.5 miles from my house and I can play for cheap and walk. It is a very good bag.

id like one but since i live in ireland it would look kinda stupid... ;) ;)

I do not have the newest version with the retractable strap. I think I have the model one or two years older. It doesn't have an insulated water bottle holder. ;) The bag is comfortable for walking. Our golf course on campus does not have golf cars so I always walk. There are enough pockets on the bag to store everything I need.

Love my 2006 Hoofer Extreme Collegiate. I used it for the first time on a cart this past weekend and as much as I hate to say it, I think it did better on the cart than when I walk with it.

i recently bought two college hoofers..... kentucky wildcats and georgia bulldogs... i love the bags although i wont be using them till the summer due to the gorgeous rain and ice period were goin through here in ireland at the mo... ;) (not)

i bought the bags because of the logo's and colours......i also think hoofer's are the most comfortable carry bag out there...

I wish they made one for The Citadel. But we don't even have a golf team now thanks to Title 9.

The Citadel, what a GREAT place. I was actually married in the chapel on campus there! Title 9 was not meant to destroy men's sports, but that is what it has done because colleges don't want to spend extra for increasing women's sports.

BTW, I paid $175 for the NCAA PING bag. They only have the college bags where tht particular university has given them license to sell them. I would guess that most colleges use the PING bags, you just can't get them unless you are on the team or you order it through the golf coach somehow.

More and more schools are going away from Ping bags. Some of the bags Ping sells are teams that don't even carry Ping bags. Example being UVa. They carry (at least they did last year) Titleist bag. I always thought it kind of funny also that the bags they sell look nothing much like the bags the teams actually carry. South Carolina is a prime example of that.

The bag the kids from THE University of Michigan use is the same one on PING's website.

I currently go to U of South Carolina. I thought about a collegiate hoofer but went with a Nike staffer instead. Considering I already have 2 hoofers I think I made the right decision. Glad to know there are other Gamecock fans on the website.

I probably misspoke. The ones I looked at in passing were the ones who I've seen the team bags. I assumed LSU was still using yellow bags, because I'm pretty sure that's what they were carrying a year or two ago

Jimmy James, I attended SC for 2 years (I was in the Army) then moved back home to Cincinnati. I love SC and Columbia is a nice place to live. We came down in December and played:

to amajeski, what cornell is that?

cornell university was founded in 1865 and has red and white as its colors, and it says you go to USU, founded in 1888, so just outta curiousity what cornell is that, that has blue?

based on what you said you mustve transferred from cornell college in Iowa to USU?

Also the bags that ping sells are never identical to the real thing, theyre always more plain, my sister played for UF and it was waaay different and my friend played for UNC and that one was way off too. I think the closest one ive seen was the ASU one.

Actually I was thinking about the LSU bags I saw and they weren't yellow, they were black. This was a couple seasons ago, so obviously they are going to change. Still though, the bags may be purple now, but they still aren't going to be exactally like the team bags. Seriously though, it's nothing to argue over.
