Has anyone heard of Titan Wrists Bands?

http://www.titanrules.com/pages/1/index.htm

I have recieved a couple samples from the PGA Show. I have not noticed any difference when I wear them. They usually get in the way when I'm swining on the course.

What is your experience or opinion about them?

I have a whole bunch of these, and try to wear them every time I play. After much experience I can honestly say that these are the best placebo on the market today. ;) Me, I'm a huge fan of the placebo effect and unless it is something that gets in the way, why not? I don't wear a watch when I play any sport, partially because I'm not sponsored by Tag Heuer, or Omega but mainly because they are too obstructive and becomes a distraction. (one caveat here is that I am VERY open to a watch sponsorship! :idhitit: )

Every night before a major test or final, I eat a bag of Smartfood popcorn. Does it make me smarter; absolutely not. Does it take the focus off of me not being smart; absolutely. I'm not really superstitious but it is something that I can fall back on. "Come on, I ate a whole bag of that stuff, I should know this sh*t!" ;) My guess is the QLink, Titan wristbands, magnets, aromatherapy, and Smartfood Popcorn all serve the same purpose, a form of homeopathic medicine. Nothing that will really change the workings of your body, but that thought may convince the brain that it will. Skepticism will only detract from the potential effects so don’t overanalyze, but don't expect a cure for cancer. :bb2:

Seriously though, I have had pains (mostly shoulder) that have gone away quickly while wearing these. Probably would have gone away on its own and is probably helped more by Advil. But its nice to have your mind focused on a brightly colored rubberband around your wrist rather than the fact that you’re in someone's divot.

What I can say for certain is that my Titan Ion bands have never hurt me, but I haven't had one get caught in my fan belt either.

I wear one on my arthritic right hand and it helps after a couple of hours. BTW, how the hell can it get in the way? Of What?

Easy there, overuse-of-the-bold-font-guy. ;) Nowhere in my meandering post did I say that the Titan got in my way. But to answer your "BTW"--look at the last part of my post (yes, it's long). Anyone who works with their hands can tell you that ANY piece of loose jewelry (yes, even a rubber band!) is ripe for the pickin's by moving parts (engines, machinery, etc). ;)

For me it works. My wrist size is somewhere between medium and large, and the large size is a little loose, but I've gotten used to it. If you're open minded about the science behind it, then it's a very cheap experiment, especially compared to Qlinks, etc. The most you can lose is about $18 or so.

I had chronic tennis/golfers elbow for years, and had success treating the post golf pain with tetonic magnets in a velcro wrap around the elbow. Hot and cold packs also helped.

I have had success with muscle ailments through acupuncture also (bad bout of sciatica), and I recall my naturopath/acupuncturist suggesting I would benefit more by wearing the Titan band on my left wrist than the right wrist. I think he was referring to there being a specific nerve meridian in the left wrist..

Could be placebo, who knows? What I do know, is that elbow inflamation is talked about as something you never really get rid of. My elbows have been inflamation, stiffness and pain free since I've worn the band. Your mileage may vary..

Steve.
