what length?
I am 6'3 and feel like I am hunched over the ball when I am putting with a 35" putter. Anyone go longer, like 36-38"?? I really don't want to go to a belly putter.

Thanks for the input.

I'm 5'11 and I use a 35" putter....go figure....I guess it's all about personal feel and style(and whether you have a bad lowerback, such as I do lol).

    Peace.

    I'm 6'7 and use a 36" Red X2.

No need for anyone under 6'6 to go longer than a 36" IMO.

I'm also 6'3" and use a 34 incher. I should also mention that I wear a 36 inch sleeve. Sometimes I feel hunched over as well, so I make sure I have some flex in my knees at address. It helps a lot.

6'3 and use a 33". Recently went from 35" to 33". I wear 37" sleeves. image/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> I like my arms straighter in the putting stroke/stance rather than bent at the elbows. I feel like I can move more freely back and through and the shorter length gives me a feeling of more putter face control.

    WOW, interesting topic and responses.

I am 5-08 and have longer arms and I just went from playing 34 inch putters to a 35 inch, after a putter fitting/lesson. Now, I am standing a bit taller in my stance, arms in to my side and my hands are higher up to my belly area and it feels GREAT. I am contemplating adding a half an inch to some of my other putters when I regrip.

Its all personal preferance. I'm 6' and play 34" but also use a 35 sometimes. Its Phil Mickelson li 6'2 and plays like a 32". his hands are way down by his knees.

6'2. 35 inch putter just feels natural to me, 34 leaves me feeling a bit hunched over.

I am 6'2 and went to a 38 inch due to back problems. I use 340g putter head and it takes some getting used to but at least I can practice without pain. YMMV

it depends mostly on posture. im 6'1" and use a 35.5 inch putter, for my posture, that length fits me best. i like to have my elbows a little more bent during my stroke, so i go a bit longer in length.

just be careful about the swingweight of the putter. the longer you go in length, the heavier the putter will swing.

6'5" using a 34" putter. Used to use a 35" putter but always found myself gripping down on it so the switch to 34" made sense. If I try a 35" now it seems way too long.

5'11" and 34"-35" putter lengths...I stand upright. It's all in what works for you.

Seems like to me when I see really tall guys their arms are a lot longer and probably are about the same distance from the ground than an average height person. I am 5'11" and use 35".

It's just a preference imo. If you feel like you'd putt better with a longer shaft try adding an extension and see what it does, if you don't like it easy enough to remove then.

I'm 6'1" and am currently using 33". When I lose my ability to line up putts correctly, I go to a 30.5" putter until I lose the line with that, then go back to 33".

    I'm 6'2" and currently use a 35". Traditionally I used a 34.5". That .5" inch feels HUGE to me.

6'2 34" putter. I could go shorter but I like choking down on it some.

A good friend of mine is 6-6, and he games a variety of putters anywhere between 32.5 and 35 inches. He putts better with the shorter putter, but his back begins to bother him after a while...

6'4" and prefer 34". Like others who've posted, 35 inchers simply feel too long.

6'4" and 35.25". If I get too hunched over my stroke goes all out of whack. Plus it kills my back.

Wait, Mangum is advocating 29" putters as the norm?

6'5" and use a 34.5" putter w/ 72* lie angle, you definitely want to consider lie angle to make sure eyes set up over the line properly in your posture as well as length so that you can make a consistent, comfortable stroke.
