Tour Authentic 2ball

Not a very popular putter? LOL

I have putted with one for about 30 minutes. The head style doesn't suit my stroke at all, but the putter is very well balanced. Lots of people have indicated that they liked it from what I have been told, but the price tag scares them away. I thought it felt okay for an Odyssey insert.

I can't remember the last time I used a putter with an insert, but for some reason I like the looks.

How much are they, I dont think I can ever pay more than $100 for an oddessy insert putter.

The tour authentic is $249 at TGW.

I personally like the new black series one better but that is $299.

The best option IMO is to get a beat up XG from ebay and send it to Deerslayer for a refinish, custom paintfill and a new SS or BeCU insert.

It should cost about half of a new one..

Pretty much the same thing, I believe it has the I insert, but I'm not sure.

I've got one and I really like it. It's very well balanced and the bronze finish is a nice touch. The insert does feel a tad firmer compared to the normal XG WH 2-Ball. The only thing that I didn't like was the original grip. It was too small for my liking. I put a Winn Midsize Pistol on the putter and it feels much more comfortable to me.

I am a blade putter person all the way. However, while stopping in to have some wedges adjusted at my local GG I putted around with a black series 2-ball demo. If i ever switched to a mallet type putter, that would be it. It had a great feel and it really set up nice. Thats just my 2 cents on the whole thing but I was truly impressed with the black series.

I might give the Black Series a roll, but I heard it was a little higher MOI than the other 2balls.

Ive got a TA 2 Ball. My Review:

Grip- A nice smallish sleek pistol, fits my hands well. Not as smaller as a Cameron Studie Design grip which i found too small. A great fit for me!

Rating: A+ for the grip

Headcover- An XG headcover i got with mine....not an XG putter tho! Ordered a custom cover to quench my thirst.

Rating: D-....Its own cover is a must....surely?!?!?

Feel- Felt great. Feel is similar to the original 2 ball, none of this mushy XG insert stuff. For an insert it felt very solid and sounded great to putt with

Rating: A-

Finish: Great....i dig the bronze colouring

Rating: A+

Overall:

A great step back to the original roots of the 2 ball regarding the feel and grip. Im not a great fan of the squishy grips or the soft faces. Aligns well and putts well- just like the original.

I just picked up a Black Series 2ball today and I'm impressed! I would still ike a TA though, let me know if you decide to get rid of it.
