Freddy's new putter

Definitely the new Scotty mallet. Can't remember the name of it, but it's the one people were saying looked like the Ping Craze. Doesn't seem to be working any better for him on those 4-footers though ;)

I think he was using a Studio Select Newport 2 belly that he got from Butch Harmon on the practice green a few weeks ago. I think he made a mid-tourney switch. He had a different but similar Anser-style Scotty belly prior to that. Don't know about this week.

Nope, he was using a Button Back belly putter the last time he played, but looks like he's trying out the new mallet this week.

He is a streaky putter at best.

He seems to be following Tom Watson's putting trend. Made them when he needed to in his early prime and then struggles with the 4-8 footers in his forties.

Freddy didn't play in Hawaii. His last tourney was the Chevron and I believe he switched putters between the second and third round from his button back to Butch's Studio Select belly that he had just had made for his golf school and happened to have with him on the putting green.

I have no inside knowlege of this, just what I read on the internet.

When Freddy was talking with Scotty about the putter they couldnt agree on the proper weight. Not sure which one they went with but that might have been his problem

He didnt putt to bad for just grabbing a putter he wasnt sure of and heading out for his round.

As for the Kombi, I dont know how long that trend will last.

Over/Under two years for the Kombi anyone?
