my only advice - DO NOT stamp the loft on the middle of the sole

other than that i think these are some of THE best looking wedges i have seen-

I demoed a Vega RAFW 03 over at The Golf Station near DFW Airport - loved it -- I have never had a 52 spin like that wedge. Felt great, too -- the sharp leading edge scared me off. These new ones look even more impressive, although that 52 grind looks as if it belongs on a 58 -- love the milling and the prototype grinds.

Look forward to having a dueling demo between Vega and Epons.

Not for sure but going by the vega website I'm guess that they will be in the £169-199 range so with the current exchange rate they won't be too bad. The lofts I saw were 52,56,58 and 60 but knowing Vega there will also be a 54.

Don't know but when I picked up my wedges (I had a 52 and a 60 degree RAFW-05 to match a 56 version I already had) they were made up in front of me and the heads came in little bags that had stickers with the head weight on - 304.2g and 301.4g

i've played the black raw finish at 52* before. vega makes a great set of blades which are truly gorgeous. however i must say that i did not enjoy the feel of these wedges. hard.

the other v-wedge i played was a golden-hued (not bronze or copper) 57* which i borrowed from my friend. the face looks exactly like the prototype except that the model on the back says 'v-wedge'. and it comes with its v wedge shaft. that 57* is the best wedge outside of the yururis i play. soft, great feedback and stops the ball on the dime. i have no idea why, but on the day i played it, i was making quite a few concentration errors (ie, missing clean contact) but even then the results were better than expected. so i'd say the softness made it seem more forgiving. not quite sure if it really is more forgiving but the softness of the face is as near a sublime wedge experience as i've ever had. aactually got the yururis from the guy who owns the v-wedges. i think these cost about $120 each from the factory.

Too much for a Sunday morning. Gorgeous but almost impossible to find. About 2 dealers in the UK and their prices are hilarious (not).

The Prototype wedge shown is EES material, same as the 05 with spin mill and we have produced a small amount of 52, 54, 56, 58, 60 - only 10 of each loft but I get the feeling it will become a part of the range pretty quickly from the feedback!

If anyone is at the show please come and see us. We will be exhibiting the complete process of how we make the Vega heads, starting with a bar of SC25 steel. I think once you see the process, coupled with the exacting tolerance levels on weight and the very limited runs they are made in, the price is a lot less of an issue!

It would be good to catch up with any golfwrx members who are attending and our president from Japan, Akira Mochzuki will also be on hand. We are on stand 1508

I have the prototype grind on my RAFW05 Black 58* (so the gold material comes through underneath) the guys at Chilli Dip in Camberly did it for me a couple of months back (Vega specialist in UK)

All I can say is it's the best lob wedge I've ever had, you can flop it off the tightest of lies and the divot looks like it was made with a cut thoat razor.... :aggressive:

Will get a set in few months .

The grooves on the 08i are actually V-grooves like in the 08 (the GolfWRX review is here) but it has added face milling.

The raw finish is VERY close to Yururi's. Me likely! Too bad most ppl on here have absolutely no clue how good Japanese Domestic Clubs are.

Vega's booth had the nicest irons in the show. They had the forgings on display. The CB irons were a thing of beauty. They are CNC cavity milled in addition to being forged.

There are a lot of thinks need to be iron out before I can say that We are really really serving the US market properly. I also want to make sure I can build the properly to customers satisfaction.

Don't get me wrong, I do have the sheet already...but I want to make sure we cover everything to serve customers at our best possible from technical all the way to pricing.

I will try to post some pictures from the PGA SHOW later.
