I think with the exception of the regular x-22's Callaway has the best line-up from hacker to pro in the game right now. From SGI to blade style player's irons, From left biased huge drivers to square to fade biased traditional shapes, a billion shaft options, i-mix, etc. They have really impressed me.

I agree completely. They have everything for all levels of player covered with fitting.

I'm digging the Prototypes, wish I could get a set without breaking the bank. And the Diablo Tour bags....Sinister!

hey...what is that triple h blunted leading edge thingy...ya did...did you have someone grind them down for you ? it is the only thing that has held me off from getting them...the digging rep. i am more of a sweeper than a digger but still that rep for digging ...deserved or not...frightens me off.

Agreed, those staff bags do look nice. As to the name, Diablo, if these clubs perform the name will become second nature.....similar to "Big Bertha", who would have originally thought that would stick when first released?

At the Callaway Demo Day, did you happen to see any Diablo Drivers with a hosel? An "H" model? It's the same concept as the H model of the FT5 that has a traditional hosel.

My Rep just returned from Orlando and said that Rocco is using one and they will be adding it to the lineup. He expects it to be released on March 13th with everything else Diablo.

Also...any word on the Diablo irons? Loving the Diablo stuff :man_in_love: !

When my dad told me he was interested in the diablo I kinda laughed to myself. I saw some pics on here but the pic of it in the Hot List just looked horrible! In the magazine it looks very...unsymeterical, lopsided, ugly I guess. But maybe its the angle of the photo here, but it looks alot better. Kind of like the edges are softer, maybe not as jagged as Hot List pic. Basically it looks better here, not bad at all.

The Hot List pic is of the Draw version. Notice the alignment chevron on the top. That model definitely sweeps back and inside to promote right to left help. The pictures on this thread do not have the chevron-so they gotta be the Neutral, which is less angular, and sweet. My next question now is "what does the H version look like?" The hoseled FT5 was a really sweet rig. Good look and sound. The Diablo Neutral already sounds pretty good, so we'll see.

That makes alot more sence, because the Hot List one was F-UG-LE :bad:

The Diablo hybrids are sick. Really, really good. Best hybrids Callaway has made yet IMHO. I had a chance to hit a 21*, with the stock shaft, on a simulator here with a launch monitor. It was spitting out the exact same specs as my Nike Sumo 18* with a Proto "By You". I'm looking to add it to my bag ASAP.

I know lots of people do not like the look of the Diable....but I can not wait to try it, I love the look!

For the record, those Calloway prototypes would probably be the only irons of theirs I'd hit. Already know the suckers are beyond expensive, but for someone who doesn't like looking at a 1/4" topline, I'd give these puppies a try. :good:

Just noticing that everything old really is new again. The Diablo fairway with the "dual runner sole?" Correct me if I'm wrong but Taylormade used to call that the Raylor. IMHO that was one of the best fairway woods ever.

I was just at the performance center in carlsbad, cali for a custom fitting by callaway. I won a trip and the clubs i recieved were free. I got the prototypes 3-p, 60,56,52 vintage wedges tourx 3-wood and the new ft9 both with diamana blue on the woods and the project x flighted 6.0 shafts on the irons and wedges. the only concern i have with the irons after seeing these photos is it looks as if they can get pretty banged up. but overall performance wise these are the best irons i have had an i have been through a lot of irons. ball flight is right out of the textbook.

I just put in an order for the new Legacy driver, and I have two of the 2008 Legacy drivers...they really are a cut above the rest. I just got a FT-9 made last week on the van at a Golf Expo in Palm Desert CA. It's a nice driver but even with the same hyperbolic face, the Legacy just has so much more of a solid sound and feeling. Definitely more solid feeling on contact...and more distance for me with comparable shafts.
