BOS Patina Oil on a Cleveland "Designed By"

Just a thought on the sight dot that you want to add. Blade putter like these almost ALWAYS have a sweetspot that is located on the inside of the putter blade. I putted with this type of putter for almost 15 years (Wilson, Cleveland, Palmer, etc.) and on every one of them, the sweetspot was between the middle and heel of the face of the blade. (I recently read an article in which Crenshaw mentions this about "Little Ben".....)

Of course, adding a sight dot is strictly up to you and purely cosmetic, but I'll bet you end up not using it to line up with the ball if you game this putter.

I have been questioning adding a sight dot to this putter...At first, I thought I would need one to align the ball with the sweetspot. But after a bunch of putts on my indoor mat, there is not one ball mark outside of the sweetspot. I'm lining the ball up & hitting it in the same spot every time: I guess I don't need the sight dot, which kinda surprises me (I've never had a putter without a sight dot/line).

Just curious.....where are you finding the sweetspot to be??

Try a few putts hitting the ball closer to the heel. It's like "butta" there on most of these blades....

Here is a picture of a Designed by Ben Crenshaw that I had BOS redo in Oil Can a couple of years ago. BOS did an outstanding job with this putter. It looks better in real life than in the pictures.
