Looking for a putter with alignment aid

I need you advise on picking up a new putter with an alignment aid that shows when you hands are to low (I have a horrible habit of hands too low with toe up ..want a putter that would tell me when set up wrong). I just putted with a Cleveland VP5 and it was so obvious when I had my hands to low. Yes I need a lot of work on my setup and stroke, but I need a putter to use that tells me when I'm not aligned properly. I didn't like how it felt though...aluminum bat like..horrible but I will be a much better putter in the long run with this type of help. What other putters offer this type of alignment. A couple I saw were the Rife hybrid..has a notch to align with the line. Another putter I thought of was the Odyssey Rossie..with the 2 lines on the bottom that align with the upper two lines. Any other ideas? Thanks.

odshot, why not let your hands stay low and have a putter fit to your setup? Take a look at the RIFE lineup and you'll see that all but one have a vertical alignment notch on the top of the head. When the notch and the aim line are together that tells you the putter is soled flat.

If you are looking for the greatest advantage in alignment then an extend back putter like the 2 bar series or the Barbados will give you the most bang for the buck.

Find a RIFE Dealer near you and call ahead to let them know you'd like to have someone work with you to fit the putter to your setup.

Good luck in your search for the club you use most.

A SeeMore is a perfect fit.

There are a lot of great putters out there, but only one will make you a better putter.

Live, I think the problem as written was that his hands where to low, toe flying. I was not aware that the See More line could be adjusted for lie angle like RIFE. The SM technology is great for squaring the face but I'm not sure how that will help him get his putter back on the ground.

Without changing his setup the RIFE putter can be adjusted to accommodate his setup. From a consistent setup a consistent stroke can be built.

See More make some great sticks but the RIFE lie align is unique and would suit this situation a bit better IMO.

I am pretty sure that he has a lie angle issue...SeeMore putters can be bent flat just like any other putter.

I understand your point...I just hope he gets the best thing for him.

Live, be careful if you attempt to adjust your SeeMore.

All of the SeeMore line has direct entry of the shaft to head. This would dictate that the shaft be bent to adjust lie angle. If you attempt to adjust the lie you may loosen the epoxy holding the shaft to the head.

RIFE has unique hosels that are bendable on the 2 Bar series and on most of the rest has a pinned hosel where there is actually a stub coming up from the head into the shaft.

The RIFE blades are all 304 stainless that is soft enough to adjust in the LieAlign tool or a loft and lie machine.

The new IMO coming soon from RIFE will not have the built in adjustibility and will need to be treated with the same care for lie alignment as your SeeMore.

Thanks for the heads up, but actually the SeeMore's have a "metal spud" that you are actually bending. The shaft fits over the spud and as long as you use a Mitchell Lie Bar (the 2 soft bars) you can do it.

Either way, I know all the guys at SeeMore and I see them bend them all the time. Bending lie angle is something that Rife wants you to believe is "exclusive" to them..it isn't.

Just wanted to clear up any misinformation.

We at SeeMore, came out with an "internal" hosel that we call a spud. We have two different spuds. One is made from Aluminum and the other is made from Steel. The aluminum spud weighs 6 grams and the steel spud weighs 23 grams. Both of them allow us to bend ANY seemore putter that has a spud to any desired lie angle. In fact, I just got done bending two putters for a gentleman in New York wanting his putters at 82*. I was able to get them to that lie angle, granted it's not legal, but he's an avg. joe player, so no worries! Also, I built a putter for another gentleman wanting his putter at 59*. I was able to get that putter adjusted as needed. Granted, those are special cases.

I just had to post because PuttingDoctor made it seem like SeeMore couldn't handle having the lie adjusted.

Also, with the SeeMore, not only does it work with alignment, but if you listen to Pat O'Briens DVD you will notice he does a lot of work on posture/setup position. He gets us to stand taller and bend from the hips. If we do this we will find our hands are NOT LOW anymore, and have free range to move on a perfect arc stroke. There is more to this, I just wanted to give a quick tid bit from the DVD. It's a great pairing with any SeeMore Putter.

So yes, the SeeMore does in fact benefit any player who is simply wanting something to make them a better putter.

Also, PuttingDoctor, you stated above that " From a consistent setup a consistent stroke can be built".

I just have to look say some things.

First off, not exactly the best thing. I could set up consistently square to my intended target line, but have a consistent "over the top putting stroke" and that won't do ANYTHING for me.

A SeeMore putter, paired up with the triangulator/Instruction DVD will IMPROVE your putting. Not only will you have INSTANT feedback to your putting stroke, but you will start with a foundation. Pat will teach you how to set up exactly the same every time, and from there make the stroke is ALWAYS on your line.

I agree with your statement when paired with a SeeMore. It's the ONLY putter that will PROMISE you are set up the same everytime.
