Iomic Putter Grip Size

The first Iomic grip I ever had was a mid size. It was so small I emailed the guy I bought it from asking him was he sure what he sent was a mid size. The answer was yes. Iomic's mid size IMO is much smaller than your average mid size. As for their standard size having never owned one I can't say but it must me on the small side since I thought their mid size was actually a standard.

I use standard. The mid is bigger. All iomics run about 1 size small compared to other companies imo.

I e-mailed IOMIC about this issue. I used the WYNN AVS MEDALLIST as a comparison and the folks at IOMIC recommended a MID-SIZE, responding that the MID-SIZE would be comparable to the AVS grip in size. I have never bought an IOMIC, I would probably go with the MID as a result of the response.

I've always used a Ping blackout grip or a Scotty Cameron Studio Design (dancing Cameron) one on my putter. I just changed to a standard Iomic grip and it is pretty much the same size as the Ping and Scotty grips I used. The midsize Iomic definitely has a "fuller" feeling in the hands compared to their standard grip and I would say the difference is pretty substantial.

Had the same response to my golf shop when they installed my first midsize Iomic, they must have put a standard on by mistake! I like midsized grips, but Iomics fall just above a standard Cameron, so I would imagine a standard Iomic would fall below that size. Remember their primary market when first developed was Japan, probably still is, so their standard and midsize would naturally be a bit smaller compared to the US market. Depending on the feel you want I believe many of us don't like the smaller standard feel and enjoy the midsize just a little more IMO.

Think of it as a smaller oversize grip. I like it a lot. Has a great flat front, just large enough to hold my wrists in place without being too large that it feels weird. Expensive though.

Couldn’t agree more with this! Not bad price wise these days, $13 and free shipping at $25.
