whitlam/gauge design - feel against a scotty

So im in the market for a new putter and have been looking at some gauge designs and scotty's.

The gauge designs are a jules and code m with coldstar. The scottys are the select 2.7 and 2.6.

What i really want to know is how they play feel wise, i like a putter to have a soft feel and not being able to test a gauge design im wondering what it plays like

I have a Gauge Gaa3(newport style) that is very comparable to my Studio Select Newport. They are both 303 stainless, and feel very good for a stainless putter. The one thing I like about the Gauge compared to the Select is the thicker top line. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

I've had a couple of Gauge/Whitlam, and 40+ Scotty's.

This is not a Scotty bash, but I'll take my Whitlam Deven ETBW any day of the week! The feel is very similar, but I like the stability of the Whiltam.

had my share of newports and i can say that i like gauge designs feel better, and the looks dont hurt either! like an earlier poster said i like the thicker top line better, gives me more confidence. oddly enough i have gotten away from both designers and am stuck on my black series I #9 and havent looked back.

I had one Gauge and a couple Camerons. I would agree with jh19 my Gauge felt more solid. May have just been me or that it fit me better. Both were about the same weight and same style head. I did like the sole on the Gauge better.

Either one are top shelf, but given the choice I would go Gauge, but if you are going to hang out here why not both?
