I've always heard that Mr. Hogan was around 5'7" Is Arnie that height, too? They look to be about the same to me...

I shook Arnies hand about 10 years ago and he could not have been more than 5'9", I am sure he as shrunk some since he was young man, but I dont think he was ever listed more than 5'10".

This really is a telling photo.

The best photos to see what Hogan is doing are from an angle like this (or more up the line) OR from behind.

That clubface won't be doing much of anything because of how he has everything situated.

WOW! Great photo, my man.

This is a GREAT photo and one of my all time favourites as it 100% shows what is happening with the body and how the hands/arms are reacting to the unwinding of the body and just how much the body has cleared "left" which results in the "room" created for the hands/club to pass through.......this photo is on the wall in my teaching studio ;)

Cheers Dan

Some important photos.

A benefit of a dynamic transition?

A guarantee for eliminating any chance of attacking the ball from the outside-in.

What's an elbow plane?

Wonderful side bend and pelvis release. That will give you some late pivot action.

What do you think these two photos below would show if Hogan didn't use his wonderful pivot rotation like he did through impact? More down the line? Does his pivot/rotating body hide his release?

You don't see many coming into the ball with the wrists like this anymore. And certainly not AFTER impact like that either. Sergio. Trevino. Price. And those guys all hit it PURE with control.

THINGS THAT MAKE YOU SAY HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Maybe.

But, they are all interrelated.

To get like this above............I don't see how one part of any of those pics above can be dismissed.

An obvious pivot/rotation, a connected left arm, a bent right arm, a cocked left wrist, a bent right wrist. And all of it maintained until after impact??????????????????????? Man, oh man!!!!!

Lots of people use a great pivot/rotation through the ball (some pros for easy examples :Toms, Mahan, Sergio, Snedeker, Kite, Duval, Leonard) But who came in like this? Not them. All had different situated arms/hands and consequently clubface actions.

Heh...the good thing is that all of us, for one single time, can be in one sack with Woods, Nicklaus, Watson, and all other pros you mentioned or not...we all are, granted, better or worse, but HACKERS comparing to this man. ;)

Cheers
