?? About putting stroke

Arc swing?

Well I have always been a SBST, so I thought. Turns out I am I am fighting a natural arc.

Now arcing the putter is fine w/ me on long, and mid putts. On short putts do you guys still have an arc? I am talking like 6 feet and in.

Just looking for your guys thought on this. The reason I ask is becuase I have been fighting my natural arc my whole life w/ center shaft, and double bend mallets. So I am just wondering about your "gated" swing on short putts.

I think with no matter what length the putt is your always going to have a somewhat arced stroke, the way I look at it, especially on short putts, is feel like your trying to go sbst and the natural arc of the stroke will happen naturally. For me, if I try to think about arc in my stroke i start to bring it way too inside and my stroke gets all over the place.

Same stroke no matter what length putt. An arc is an arc if you bring back the putter 2 feet or 2 inches. Don't try to do different things on different length putts.

In my personal opinion, center shafted or face balanced putters are fine for an arc stroke. I find that my arc stroke is more consistent with a center shafted face balanced putter.

Get a Putting Arc. I use one and love it. You will find out exactly how much you should arc on a 6 footer. It's not much.
