Ernie's new putter

anyone have any idea what putter Els is using this week. It looks like a center shaft. I saw on Golf Central that he found it in a pro shop or something like that.

Ernie must be slumming these days because he dumped the $5K+ GSS Cami&co., and the $300 diamana was replaced in the driver by $70 Harrison Pro 2.5 . . . :lol:

Did anyone give conformation on this? The only reason I ask is that it could very well be a Studio Style with a GSS insert, with the light reflecting in a way that the Stainless head looks lighter (making the face seem so) and the GSS reflecting at a different angle, looking darker. Probably a little far fetched, but a very real possibility.

I doubt its the light because you can clearly see white . i cant belive this but hes putting good. -5 and in second place.

i'm gonna side with pshyeah on this. i think it looks like the insert on a cameron. the center, where the insert is is dark and around is light, which doesn't seem to match a white hot. isn't the whole face on a white hot light?

Well let's not jump the gun here, Scotty doesn't currently make a center shafted anser style putter these days. I'd be surprised if Ernie didn't rummage through the trailer to try and find something he could use before going with the Odyssey.

I'd be very surprised if Scotty wasn't in the studio right now working on getting Ernie a couple of options to throw in the bag before the next tournament.

I saw these pics, ran right out to my local golf shop and traded my 009 straight up for a White Steel. Yeah, right! The Big Easy has been struggling and is doing something to spark his game, it's as simple as that. Let's see what happens over the next 3 rounds and the next few weeks.

EE could have anything he wants. Fact is, he isn't using a Cameron and has the Callaway in the bag.

It's an Odyssey White hot saw it in another thread 100% as well was the shaft is a Diamana X flex red logo.

Loads of guys who are in contracts with other OMG's other than Titleist use Scotty Cameron putters. Why shouldn't a Titlesit player use something different.

What ever works, or Phil wouldn't use that old beat up putter!
