How long before adding weight....

I need to find out how many grams the head should weigh if I extend a SC Newport2Beach center shaft to 41.5 inches. An Odyssey putter this long weighs approzimately 375 grams but doesn't have the head fel I am looking for. I have added a ton of weight but can't get the right mix.

I use the putter shaft to rest on my left arm and use a Winn belly grip and it has little feel. I want to take this Cameron and either reshaft or do I extend 7 inches (currently 34") and add weight or send to Scotty and lead the head?

Anybody have better ideas or advise? Thanks in advance...DJ

sc will not do anything for you.... i think is should be about 385 or so..

Extend the shaft yourself, regrip, and add weight. The head is 330g right now (All of the CC Newports are) and you'll need to put QUITE a bit of lead tape on the sole to get it up to 375.

I don't mind doing the club work as I have done for all my clubs but my concern is how much weight when you have to go to 41 inches or even 44 inches. Shaft weight even using graphite extension counter weighs the club so much ther is just no feel.

How much is too much weight? 500 grams?
