Look up the Ping College Golf Guide.

Purchase that and you get the contacts to almost every school in the nation, head coaches emails, phone numbers, addresses, etc.

You can search by location (ie, Florida)

By Division (ie, 1)

and choose from there, they tell you if they offer scholarships, how much tuition on average is, boarding, etc.

You can't beat it for information it is well worth the $$ if your serious about playing college golf.

Contact USF, FGCU, Rollins, and Stetson. Those are your best bets at receiving scholarship money.

I dont want to be a negative Nancy but schools like that have their recruiting classes pretty much set a year or so in advance. May want to check into JUCO schools and prove yourself there. Brevard Co Community college has a team and its 45 minutes east of UCF.

I 'm saying if he has the skill, he could transfer later on or at least attempt to contact the coaches. Just a suggestion.

If you are that good, and can do it under pressure you can walk on anywhere. Might take a year to break in the lineup but you will be on reserves for sure. If you want a lower pressure atmosphere try a D2 or NAIA school.

The Ping College Golf Guide is a neccessity.

I'd try that out, or maybe sign with a recruiting service if you have the money to get your name out there. It's probably too late to play this fall for most schools, but to be honest, I don't know about NCAA's transfer rules, so give it a shot.

Gather up a tournament resume, find "X" college's athletic website....bring up their staff directory and call and email them introducing yourself and let them know your interested.

I did it and got responses from everyone...from no not interested, to sorry our recruiting is done, to send me your resume, to send me your resume and when can you come visit. Give it a shot

The Ping College Golf Guide is the best advice I can offer. It has every school that offers college golf listed and all important information included.

If your scores are as good as you posted then your resume should speak for itself. You can probably play about anywhere unless rosters are already full.

Ping golf guide...Also, use the IB to your advantage! most state school eat it up for breakfast, I've got my IB's in less than a week (oh boy), but if you get through that, then they know that you are better prepared than any AP, Honors or even A level courses can (if they know their stuff). Stress that you will be more reliable academics-wise than anyone else they will be recruiting (the florida schools get it, they have the largest amount of IB schools in the states), and then show off that +3 handicap. I'm only scratch but I got on a D3 school.

While you may not be able to get on someones team this year, because the finish recruiting in the early fall, find a place where you can play for NEXT season worst case. good luck dude, I'm sure you'll be just fine.
