I'm several years out of school, but I played at Central Alabama in Alexander City, AL. I loved playing golf there. We had a great team with some great guys.

I will play D-1 for Scottsdale CC (Scottsdale Arizona) or Pima CC (Tucson Arizona) next year

Visited both, just have to make a decision on which.

Scottsdale always had great teams back when I was playing.

I am out of school for a few years as well, but played D-II at Meridian CC in Meridian, MS. Hey Tmiller, when were you at central alabama. I was at Meridian 00-02 and we played a few events with them. They were pretty strong.

I was there in the 90's before you were in HS probably. lol

Scottsdale always had great teams back when I was playing.

Yeah that's what I heard. I believe they won nationals in 06-07 and came in second in 07-08 or close to that.

Access to Hot Stix fitting wouldn't be too shabby either ;)

Former County College of Morris Titan here! Went to Nationals twice (once individually) and really had a great time with it. If you don't have the AJGA resume to get yourself to a really solid program, the JUCO route is a valid play.

You don't need to play AJGA to get recruited by a good program.

I played @ DACC (Danville Area Community College, IL) for 1 semester. I hated it so I came back home, then went to Radio/TV school in Los Angeles. If I knew what I know now, I of course would of stayed and given more time!

A few years out but played at Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan for 2 years out of high school. Made it to 5th in the country in the Cleveland golf poll, in 2000.

Huge win, coach. 5 shot margin for the medalist is pretty big as well. It was always a fairly tight race when I was there.

Just verbally committed to Parkland College in Champaign IL! I will be signing January 15th

NJCAA for me...but wrong sport, baseball! Roane State in East TN.

Do you have to go through the NCAA clearing house if your going to play juco golf? and if not then what exactly do you have to do before your offically on the team?

no clearinghouse to play juco, but when you graduate after 2 years, you have to go through it then.

A pulse is pretty much all you need to play jr college golf. But if you plan to move on to a 4 year school after JC, make sure you find an advisor that knows the requirements needed to transfer. You do have to graduate from the jr college to move on to a Div 1 school, at least that's how it was when I was playing.

Yeah, I'm not sure if you HAVE TO graduate but I know they like you to have your degree, otherwise you'll probably be in school for at least 5 years. Realistically though you shouldn't have any problem getting through Parkland, and most junior colleges for that matter. I went the JUCO route and had to NCAA clearinghouse just this august....big pain in the a**, but hey......its well worth it.

I may go to Kirkwood next year (Cedar Rapids, IA). Many players from my HS have gone there. I believe they finished 11th in the nation last year ... maybe it was 2 years ago not sure.
