Riverwatch-Smithville TN

Has anyone played there before? I played it once and really liked it. Narrow fairways to greens that leave little room for error. I know it was sold awhile back and was wondering if there was any changes. Their website shows a little of the course but not much.

Plan to play there soon. I haven't played there in a while as well so I will be interested to see if it has been kept up. Give update when i get the chance.

I played riverwatch and it has been kept up and it was great to play it again. The rough was in ok shape, but the fairways, greens, and bunkers were in excellent shape. Even better, its all you can play for $29.00 everday @ 3pm! I plan on going back.

Played Riverwatch for the first time two weeks ago. The course was in overall good shape and I enjoyed playing it. The greens were in great shape and their undulations and speed will give you a good test. It took a couple holes to figure out yardages and realize that hitting long into many of the greens means you will NOT find your ball as they bounce off and go straight down the steep slopes into the trees.

Don't go to Riverwatch if you are looking for nice accommodations, all they have is a worn out trailer posing as the Pro Shop, but the course definitely is worth the trip. Very good value, fun, and challenging depending on the tees you choose.

Old post I know, but will reply anyway. I've played it 3x in scrambles and the one thing I noticed is the number of blind shots on several of the 4's and 5's. Fairly tight without very much "bail out" area. A GPS and/or rangefinder would be a big help on this course. Certainly a fun course.

Thinking of playing Riverwatch Wednesday morning, anyone interested in playing?

Reviving an old thread here. Anyone play Riverwatch lately? I thought it had closed, but it is on GolfNow Nashville now. Just curious about conditions, etc. Thanks.

I heard it was open but nothing else.

From what I have read from their Facebook page, the course is in great shape. They built a new clubhouse and paved parking lot. Going to try to get there soon. I really love this course. I wish it wasn't 2 hours away.

I would like to hear others opinions about the course.

I had a couple of buddies play it a couple weeks ago and they said is was in great shape. A very scenic golf experiance, but tight fairways.

I played it Saturday and it was in nice shape... TIGHT fairways but a fun course overall. I will make the trek again

Anyone play Riverwatch recently? How are course conditions?

Played there earlier this year! Awesome course! You gotta be straight off the tee and the greens are fair but challenging. They were slow when we teed it up there though. Peter Jacobsen designed it with Jim Hardy. Would make an excellent track for a Korn Ferry tour event from the tips.

We played there a couple of times last year getting my daughter ready for a junior tournament taking place there. Very tight fairways, lots of blind shots. The hills made it a tough walk on the kids especially since it was hot the day they played. But the layout was good. I’d play it more if it wasn’t such a long drive.

Great course if you are visiting Center Hill Lake.

Yes..too bad it’s not located closer to murfeesboro/Nashville area...it’s a trek for most people. It’s 1hr 20 minutes each way for me.

I've been to Smithville to Evins Mill for a wedding. I think we stayed the night in a room just because. Got caught up in the yard sale along hwy 70. Took a bunch of extra time to get there due to that. You just can't jump on the interstate and get there. I get spoiled to that at times.
