Callaway X Fairway Woods

Anybody using these with success?

Would love to hear any feedback from anybody using the X FW woods. When I miss my 3W it tends to be a sharp draw or even a hook if it's real bad. Do the X have a closed face? Also, is the stock shaft any good? Hard to find reviews on these being so new. Thanks

will let you know i have 15* with proforce v2 on way from callaway.Club sits square at address and ball jumps off face.

I demoed the X last weekend and wasn't impressed. I didn't like the feel or consistency as compared to my Sonartec 2.5. I'm not sure if it was the stock shaft, or just my swing that day, but the X just wasn't very consistent for me. I also was a little surprised at the flight of the X - it was much lower than I expected.

I have the 15* 3-wood and love it. I will be changing my shaft soon to a V2 (need a lower torque). The face is very hot and they are very easy to control. I have always liked Callaway fw's and this club is no different. Also, Callaway offers a nice variety of custom shafts at a very affordable price.

Recently purchased the 13* tour X, on the indoor range it was in no time that the ball just jumped off the face. I'm using the reg flex fuji. I'm very pleased havent notice any draw tendencies yet. Outside range I found vey good distance too. I've just ordered the X460 10* Monday.,

The X 3 wood was not very good when I demoed it with the stock stiff shaft. However, I could tell that the head was hot and that it provided a penetrating ball flight. I just had no consistency with that shaft. I ordered one with a Aldila NVS 75. With that shaft, It is extremmely easy to hit off of the tee or deck. A higher trajectory but still penetrating. I would rate this as being better than the Steelhead, which I felt was there best fairway ever. I think the x is better because it is somewhat more forgiving and had no draw bias.
