Why did you stop using your Red X2?

Putter was too upright for me, as I use a putter thats two degrees flat and 33.5 inches. I loved the three sight lines etc. but it just wasnt working for me when it set up incorrectly. Im not sure what putter is up next as Im still working on finding one.

I went from RedX2 35/330 to a Newport 2, back to the RedX2, then to a MacGregor GT-Mini, and now I'm using a Yes! Tracy.

The reason I ditched the RedX2 is because it makes you setup with your hands behind the ball and I was getting an inconsistent roll on slower greens. I liked it on fast greens, but on the slow ones the ball was hopping all over the place.

had it refinished with the 3x and it looked sweeeeet, but the mojo was gone. It looks good in the rack,lol.

I'm glad you thought that too. I really like the way that RedX2 looks, but the 3 dot alignment aid seemed to be totally wrong for me. When I first tried it, I started to wonder whether this was showing up some horrible error in my setup, but I really don't think that's the case. I probably lead a little with my hands, but when you line up the shaft and dots, it's hard for your hands not to be following. Maybe Scotty is right handed but left-eye dominant. :-).

For what it's worth, I feel like there's less of this parallax problem with the Futura Phantom Mallet 2. Same dot setup and it looks pretty similar, but doesn't seem to create the same trailing hands feeling.

I had the same problem. I switched to a Corza #1. Great putter IMO.
