Too many headcovers in my bag.

It's about right, is there a cover on your putter?

3-4 covers is generally the normal number of covers for a bag I think. Also depends what sort of bag you have, a stand bag would also look more cluttered than a staff bag.

Here's my set up:

i feel the same way and i have the same headcovered clubs-- driver, 3wd and hybrid.

I'll go with weird

i have driver,3 wood,5 wood, hybrid. the woods are all long neck and the hybrid is a magnet cover. i think that i might switch to all magnet. even though they will be generic it will make the bag seam less cluttered.

4 for me including the putter, I don't find it too cluttered.

I think that you have it just right.

I also think that is the "modern" set up: a driver , a fairway wood and at least one hybrid.

A second hybrid makes the game even more fun for those of us with higher caps.

I have 4. I dumped the Scotty for my old KC2 so that has no cover on it. Driver, 13* 3W, 18.5* 5W and 22* hybrid.

right now i have only 1, but will have 3 as soon as i get my set of A4 irons...

possibly a 4th if i can settle on a 4 wood i love...

i think that's about the norm... when you said you had too many, i was expecting 6 or more...

I've only got 2...... but then my current 3 wood is an old used Cleveland 15 1/2" Launcher (460cc!) with steel shaft, so it's naked.

No hybrid.

I prefer a blobby 2 ironish thing since in my eyes hybrids are the spawn of the devil.

Might be looking out for a 'proper' 3 wood - even intrigued by the Adams crossbreed between a fairway wood and hybrid thing (could name it 'the donkey'), despite what I said above. So that would take it to 3.

4's not weird, but worrying about it is a little odd. ;)

I am seeing more headcovers as more guys go to two hybrids...or 2 woods and a hybrid...sweet bag... Got a thing for bags... play with a couple of guys from Toronto a lot... they will be on that...Thanks for the link.

Depending on the course and whether I drop the 50* wedge and put the 4i hybrid back in it's 4-5 plus the putter.....I am a low index player and I have no problem with my bag looking at little fred funk!

FYI - Tour Burner LCG driver currently on rotation for an R9/TP7HD combo......

Driver, 3 Wood, 17*, 20*, 23* Hybrids and my putter..

I don't mind though, I have a staff bag, everything fits very nicely

When i go to the range I will also put in my 2nd driver.. I get a lot of looks, some weird some in amazement.. The oldtimers are like wtf. the younger golfers are like damn dude thats a nice set of clubs.. haha

4 here as well. Driver, 3 wood, hybrid & putter. Sometimes it is 5 if I swap the 4 iron for a hybrid. They all fit good in my SasQuatch Tour stand bag.

I have 3 covers in my bag, which just made me wonder why i have a 7 wood in my bag even.. never once pulled it out.. i hit irons much better.. i might even dump the 3w since i can't hit it:)

The guy i play with though has a nice shiny new set of calaway irons and every single club in his bag has a cover, the irons covers are little thin things that i find a pain to get on the clubs.. his bag also weighs over 80# which is just crazy to me:)

Driver, 3wood, 2 hybrids, irons 5 - pw, wedges 54/58/62 and a putter.

I cover all my clubs for a couple reasons, one being I dont want people looking at

what I have in the bag, second I like to take care of my clubs so I dont want them all knicked up.

I have 4 headcovers & I am sure you can figure out what they are on! Hint: Not on the putter!

I have 5. Driver, 3 hybrids and a putter. It looks ridiculous. But, oh well.
