R7 460 .vs. HiBore

I picked the hibore over the TM even though most of my bag is TM. It worked better for me across the board and is by far the best club i have ever played.

I'm going to buy a new driver and was wondering how the R7 stacks up with the Hibore. I've tried many drivers lately and the best driver was the retail 9.5* R5 N with the Fuji 757 stiff but I've sold that for a driver that didn't fit me at all. Was thinking about going back to TM and try the 460 R7 in stiff flex in maybe a 10.5*...read that it had an enormous trajectory but I'm starting to like more loft these days.

 

Anyone try both and like the HiBore better?

If you liked the R5 N so much why not get on eBay and find another one? You could probably save plenty of money too!

Thanks for the message, I appreciate the info. What is your handicap? It sounds like these irons are good for scratch to about 10 or 12 hcp.

What shafts do you have in your irons? I have heard the t step is not very good shaft, so I was considering DG or Rifle but all I can find to hit is the stock tstep's. Let me know what you think.

Also, I am worried a little about the offset in these irons. I am coming from MP30's and want a little more forgivness but dont want to turn into a hook machine with too much offset. I tried to switch to Ping irons a few years ago and everything was going left with an unintentional draw.

I think both drivers are good. If you are a Cleveland fan, go with the Hi-Bore. If TM is your gig, the 460 is a great stick too. I personally would go with a 9.5* in either. IMO the bigger headed drivers get the ball up fairly easy and too much loft can cause disatance loss.

I've only hit these at ademo days, but for me...........

the HiBore was a DOG. I couldn't get anything out of this club no matter what loft/shaft I tried. Awful.

R7 460 was my jewel. I was simply bombing this club. Check out my review in this link:
