Still pretty new I guess...I'm keeping an eye on this thread because I'd like to know more about it too :vava:

the tip is not that stiff. i have a 6.0 in my 904f and it launches quite a bit higher and doesn't feel as stable as my 980 strong with s300. i think i should have got the 7.0.

I had one for a test in a 3 wood I used to use. It performed great for me. It was in a v-steel. I never shouldve gotten rid of it.

Hello, I'm thinking of switching to the Project X wood shaft for my 3 wood and 2h Heavenwood (heavenwoods are .350, right??).  I have heard that they are only meant to be used in a driver or 3 wood because of the tip stiffness.  Is this true??

 

I emailed the question to Royal Precision, asking what flex I should get and how much to trim the tip.  They only replied with 0" for a driver, and .5" for a 3 wood.  Since the 2h is comparable to a 7 wood...would I just tip the shaft 1", install and cut to length from the butt???

Yes, they are 350".

I'm Assuming all your questions is for Callaway's club, Right?

If that is the case on the 2H is depending at what lenght you are trying to set ip up. It could be 1" all the way to 2" tipping, Might even be at 2 1/2".

Base on 41", I would probaby tip it around 2" at least. I'm a hard believer that a hybrid club need to be slightly stiffer than what it's suppose to be to reduce the draw bias, especially for a lower handicaper .

I have a Project X in a MacGregor Mactec. I absolutely love the thing!!! I just had these shafts put in my irons at the beginning of the summer and i wouldn't change them for anything. Project X shafts are just great shafts.

I love the thing in my 4w, didn't get much of a thrill in my driver and hated it in my TM Rescue Mid, so that doesn't help much. For me the 5.0 plays like a Stiff. Very accurate and much more stable than DG. Excellent feel, doesn't want to hook.

where do you guys get the project x wood shaft? I have been trying to find

one for my titleist 904.

You can find a retailer at Royal Precisions web site. You can purchase them on line, I don't know of any golfshops that carry PX wood shafts.
