DG SL in wedges?

Is anyone playing Dynamic Gold superlite shafts in their wedges?

I am ordering a set of irons and thinking about shafting the wedges to watch. The gap wedge I am not too concerned about since I use it for mostly full swings, I'd like to have it feel as close to my PW as possible. But the lighter shaft in the SW is a little concerning. Anyone use this setup?

I have DG SL's on my gap and sand wedge. I like the way they perform. I wouldn't say they are whippy but they do offer more flex and, for me, it translates into better feel. I like that they have a low kickpoint especially in my wedges. It allows me to play high lobs or even high full shots with equal ease. For me, they have just the right amount of heft and flex to suit my personal tatse.

I re-shafted my 53* and 58* Nike Forged wedges (TT DG S400 stock shafts) with the TT DG SL S300 shaft almost a year ago. Then I switched to Vokey's and now have switched back to the Nike Forged. Great feel, great spin, and comparable distance. By keeping the same lightweight stock Nike grips I was able to keep the SW about the same; however I did lose about 2 SW points on both clubs, and have since added a few grams of lead tape to the 53 to bring it to D3. The 58/14 was relatively heavy to start with and now is at D4.

I take issue with the poster suggesting that the DG SL has a low kickpoint. Not so from both True Temper's specs and my experience. The bend point is listed as high and I have found them to be very similar to the TT DG except for the weight. I do hit them a bit longer on a full swing and the trajectory does seem to be slightly higher; however, I attribute this more to the nominally faster SW I am probably generating due to the lighter weight.

I agree. These have high bend points. They work great in my wedges for control and feel. I have 4 Nike SV wedges that have been stripped of the chrome that I put them in. I love the lighter weight of them.
