Matrix Studio 84 / 94 Driver Shaft Help

Hi all

I’m after a heavyweight shaft for my driver which isn’t overly stiff and I was thinking of the Matrix Studio 84 / 94 shafts in firm flex. Can anyone tell me a little about how they play and what sort of swing speed is required to get the best out of them. In the past I’ve had good success with an Accra Axiv XC 75 M4 flex in a driver but I do tend to hit the ball way to high to get optimum distance and as such I generally play an 8.5 lofted driver.

I play one in strong flex, 108ss very stable and mid to low flight. Very good shaft for the money.

Pretty much a question of what weight/length you prefer. The 84 is a little livelier, the 94 a little more dampened in feel. I like to use the 94 for building drivers under 44.5", sometimes allowing the extra heft to make light swingweights work well, so something like a 203 gm head at 44 1/4"/D0. Sounds like you'd want a Stiff, depending on clubhead...

I've just fallen in love with my R9 4 wood which has a Motore F1 85g stiff shaft due to the feel and weight of the shaft. That being said I don't want something which plays any stiffer in my R9 driver, in fact I would like a more flex in the driver without losing the weight if possible.

Currently I've got the following on my shortlist for the driver any advice would be greatly received

    - Matrix Studio 84 / 94 Firm

    - Aldila NV 85 Regular

    - Dynamic Gold X100 SL

Just to say I'm also thinking of following Sergio and playing my driver shaft at 43.5
