lookin to do some paintfill work on my clubs and read that dipping the clubs in acetone and an exacto blade or needle to remove it works well. my question is will acetone ruin or damage the chrome/black/any finish on the clubs? im talkin about irons, wedges, hybrids, and woods. thanks so much<br />

Acetone won't hurt the chrome or any metallic finish, but keep it well away from any paint finish or plastic on the clubs. Case in point the shaft (if graphite) and the hosel ferrule (if fitted) cavity decal etc. Serious melting awaits. For that reason alone, I'd avoid it unless your iron heads have been removed from the shafts.

Buy some paint remover and save some time. Just apply it on the paint to remove, let it work and wipe clean with an old towel.

maybe apply with a q-tip in the painted areas?? instead of dipping it in? any other good paint removers than are less damaging to the plastic?

acetone will work fine for the painted areas. Do not get it on the ferrule! You can soak the club in acetone with no adverse effects.
