Playing Day After X-mas

No it's not, I've been in the shop since 10am and it has been dead. It's the first time in 2 weeks the course has been open I thought it would be busy but alas no. Ho hum, turkey sandwich time is getting closer

Not busy at my club today as the course is closed due to flooding from the melting snow.

We have got an 18 hole something or other comp on Monday now though.....

This time of year I see people playing mostly on the best weather days only, and of course the weekends are more popular. On the positive side, here in Atlanta, I've played on a weekday each of the last two weeks, picking good weather days (mid to upper 50's with little wind), and both times, I got great rates on good courses, and played in good time with no waiting on people in front. That beats spring and summer golf hands down! The toughest part is getting the starting time window correct - after any frost delay, but early enough to finish well before dark. You pretty much have to tee off between 10 am and noon.

i'm up in the Montreal, canada, there's 2 feet of snow on the ground......and i've got the golf blues.....
where are you playing???? good course? light up the links....

There's plenty of places out there still with weather good enough to play, obviously I was referring to open golf courses lol, it's about 75 degrees out here, just took a picture with my phone. Going back to how busy it is, it looks like a good saturday but not abnormally good like other years, usually the last saturday of the year gets seriously crowded, at least for me.

We're teeing it up in a few hours. Yesterdays on Xmas we tee'd off at 9:30am. Pace of play was like a normal Saturday's play; only difference was all the tee times we set for later then 9:30am. We're playing a different course today and we expect it to be somewhat busy. It got down to 32* last night so we'll be contending with a frost delay.

You all have a wonder day out there today...

I'm at my club and all the tee times are booked from 7am-2pm, I get off work at 3 so hopefully I can sneak in 18 before sunset.

It is 33 with snow on the ground here. No golf for me.

I would expect this late January to mid February...but snow at Christmas in Texas!?

its 43 degrees here in Phoenix. Im finishing up a 12 hour Christmas shift (11pm-11am) and then I think Im gonna go hit balls for a few, maybe roll some putts.
