R9 vs. R9 460

Currently have an R9 TP and want to switch to an R9 460 and am wondering if the adaptors are the same for both the TP and non-TP versions. I know the 460 shaft is longer, but can I put my R9 TP shaft into an R9 460, or do I need it to be a TP 460 also? In other words, do all the adaptors fit ALL of the R9 models, both regular, 460, and TP models? My assumption was that they were all the same (size wise) but the TP simply had more face angle adjustment available?

The adapters for drivers and FWs all fit in any of those heads. The TP adapters accept .335 shafts and non-TP take .350, but once the shaft is in an adapter you're good to go. Putting a good .335 shaft into a TP adapter and then into a non-TP head is the cheapest move, and the heads are in fact identical.

There are some Tour-only adapters which have smaller and larger bias adjustments, but don't worry about those (they'll fit too...)
