Ive always grabbed a bottle of windex and a soft brush to clean all of my clubs and it works fine.

I think I know what you're talking about. The little short, lines that appear all over your driver face?

If that's the case, then there's not much you can do other than take a little metal polish and try and buff them out.

They're scratches caused by sandy range balls. This is one reason why I ALWAYS wipe and dry every range ball I hit with a wet towel before teeing it up with my driver. If nothing else it helps slow me down a little.

So I've got that going for me, which is good. ;)

I use Crisco............ Just kidding

Don't use Crisco, you will hit your driver straight and then golf wouldn't be any fun.

Seriously, those marks you are talking about, don't worry, just keep hitting balls, they seem to wear off after a couple of weeks if you keep swinging.

I have noticed it too, they come adn go.

I generally don't sweat the marks that much, but if I really do want to get the clubs clean, I found that one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (actually, I have the Bounty branded one) works really fast. If you haven't seen one before, it's a sort of a very light sponge. I don't believe it has any cleaner or chemicals in it. You get it wet, squeeze out the water so it's damp, then rub lightly on the clubface. The roughness of the sponge appears to be what's doing the cleaning.

I was told by this club maker that if you set your clubs heads in WD-40 it will make cleanup 5 times as fast because nothing will stick to them. He said this is great if you practice on mats. I have never had the nuts to try it.

to clean my face I use WD-40 with steel wool. If you use the right stuff it looks brand new almost but dont do it a lot because I have heard it can ruin the shine one the face.

Does anyone use WD-40 for those "non-shining" clubs, like Cleveland CG2/4 ? The WD-40 is just so powerful to clean that I don't dare to try it on my CG2. Maybe the black pearl CG10 is a good start.

That must lead to some strange looks and long range sessions. :idhitit: I have to say I admire your dedication. I bet it really helps with resale.
