Precept EV EXTRA SPIN

Looking for opinions of the precept ev extra spin. Edwin watts has them 2 for 1..... 15 ball packs for 15.99. I'm curious how they play--distance spin etc and how they perform off the driver with moderate swing speeds 100-105

PGA SS has for 8.88 a 15 pack, I bought 4 of them. Actually 2 then another 2 after playing them again. Those were my gamer back in late 80s/early 90s until Titleist Professional came out. Great ball overall, worth at least 25 a dozen. Best winter ball and I might stockup a bit more, cuz for 60 cents each, best value bar none.

Good feel, especially for two piece, great spin control, as long as most, within few yards. Great putting, chipping and can back up if pinch it.

Just played these for the first.. I really, really liked em... Played nine this morning - tried these and Srixon Soft Feel balls.. Srizon was a nice ball, good distance and felt soft, but had that almost mushy feeling to it.. The Precept felt really nice - not as soft, but similar to a B330s or ProV1x - in the sense that there was a nice click with all shots. Spin was fine.. I could check my chip shots, but I was playing on some slow greens. I think I need to play a few more rounds with them.. so far, I really like em.. I've been on a search for the past two years for a sold less expensive ball and this one might be the one (a little early to tell so going to try a few more rounds)..

One other note - I read a few reviews on this ball and all of them talked about the durability (well the lack of) and they are right.. The ball scuffs up after just a few holes.. But in a strange way I sorta liked it - Like I could really get it to spin- I mean the ProVxs always scuffed up for me. A lot of the balls I've played claim soft feel and playability, but it's almost artificial like that mushy feeling but not real bite..

2 dozen for 15 is a deal..

I have 2 questions. 1. Can you hit the low hop and stop pitch with this ball? 2. What trajectory does this ball have on Mid and long Irons?

Are these the same Precept Extra Spin balls that were around 10-15 years ago? If so I wouldn't buy them as they're probably stale by now. In their day they were a decent ball.

No it is not the same ball that the Shark used to play back in the 80's. I believe these were released around the same time as the Laddie Extreme. Keep in mind that this is just another 2-piece with a surlyn cover.

They claim it's the same ball Nick Price won few majors with from yeah eary to mid 90s. Used to play them all the time. They are not new as the Laddie comment implies.

Get 15 packs here for 2/$25, just a steal for winter balls or just a very good cheap ball.

The Shark played those Spalding TOur Edition 2 piee which spun insane. I remember playing it, and it would pull back 30 feet on nice greens. I remember long ago, maybe GOlf Digest did some evals of balls and the Tour Edition, a two piece, spunn nearly 12000 rpm with sand wedge...nuts.
