I am going to go insane....

So, im sitting here working on my AP Biology work, and all I can think about is golf. Watching golf channel, got my putter sitting beside me with 6 inches of snow on the ground. All I can think about is how next year at college I will literally go insane. I'm majoring in physiology so I'm not gonna have much time to golf. I mean, don't get me wrong, science is my absolute favorite subject and if I'm gonna do something I'm doing it with science. But daaaang man, I think the course just needs to open up and I get all my itches out cuz literally it is driving me CRAZY. Tryin to think of the phage reproduction cycles of a virus in a host cell and all I can think about is how sweet those fairways are gonna be....

In college make flash cards and study while waiting for your next shot.

Study for 15 minutes and putt for 5 where ever you are (dorm, apartment, etc.)

Pick your class times so you have enough time to play golf before or after class.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but it worked well for me

alright sounds good, thats definitely an idea. Maybe ill walk on the college team ha if only dreams came true. But i really just dont want to lose my progress lol. I just started taking golf seriously a year and a half ago, dropped my handicap from god knows how high to a calculated 1.5 now. Been puttin a crap load during winter and driving which were my semi weak points. Hopefully I can get to scratch this year!

and my ultimate goal is to go to medical school, so yeah if that happens i dont think im even going to have a social life, let alone time to play golf

oh yea. kiss golf goodbye for when you go to school. I am at Penn State where we have 2 golf courses on campus. Since I got here in August I have played all of twice, and they were within a month of starting. It doesn't help being an engineering major. Come spring I'm gonna try and schedule time to play once a week although I highly doubt it will work

yeah thats what im thinking, i figure my golfing is just a hobby, its a dream to do somethin with it for life sure, but what i really want is a good stable career that could have provide for some future ho'ing in my adult life

haha I feel the same way. I'm actually sitting in ap enviro class now and u can tell that I cudnt get my mind off golf.

ahh funny stuff, i got a 30 on the act, because i got a 24 on english. 35 math isn't bad though.

haha same here dude! i got a 30, but i got 30 english 30 math 31 reading. Strangely enough the science was a 27 lol. I hate how its just straight graphs on science and really doesnt test your knowledge IN science

if you're a 1.5 you could probably walk on pretty easily at most schools...

Nothing like playing on a team and taking a full load to help you master your time management skills.

Well, you got ur whole life ahead of you to golf. Ur young, smart and apparently a good golfer, so don't be too unhappy. You could be sitting around in the snow, old and dumb with four kids under the age of ten like me!

hey thanks guys, appreciate all of this, and i dont think i can walk on the team. I'm going to the University of Iowa and it being a large school and all im pretty much positive that you gotta be better than I am lol

If you are a legit 1.5 now and can get down to a scrath you easily play golf in college. At least try to walk on, you never know what could happen.

Should have gone into the B school my friend. No classes friday, no classes before 1 pm. Now we just need this damn snow to melt.

haha damn your lucky, and ya might as well try, couldnt hurt. If not they have some intermural golf stuff i believe. Not much, just a couple tournaments but id be able to still get out

If only...
I can't wait for the snow to just go away. I love it for snowboarding but its gotta be gone now. I'll be out there the first day the courses open. I was hoping on playing over spring break but we just got almost 2ft where I live, so much for that.

I realized something, my specific major is integrative physiology. You probably already know what that means but ill still explain. It's physiology and you learn all those aspects much as you would with normal physiology. But, with this major I would learn to incorporate it into excercise routines and really be able to focus on muscle groups and how the body works. Alot of physical therapy students major in this too. Now this sounds like it could be fantastic in combination with a passion for golf if you ask me. Could I do something with golf fitness training possibly? Wondering if there are any decent jobs in that area or anything else, lemme know guys!
