Thanks so much for the compliment, Deerslayer is an artist. I enjoy doing the work and being compared to him is awesome. There will be many more to come.

Nice job! I am trying to do my own right now. How do you get the paint in the dots to keep from clumping? When I get done, the paint is just sitting there and looks like crap!
Use a needle tipped bottle and fill the dot completely with a little bubble sticking up in the middle. Then take a piece of a cereal box you cut and use it as a squigee. Works every time.

I dont use the squeegy technique. Just use the paint fill needle and carefully fill it in nice and even.

Nice repaint?
That is more than a nice repaint. Have you ever tried to paint those circle weights and all the small weird shaped areas on a select. It's alot harder than one may think. Not to mention getting the paint in the dots to come out even and the HC. The OP did an outstanding job. Call it just a repaint if you want but there is alot to that and it takes some skills.

Lefty... How did you do the head cover make over? Its sweet!! I have the Fastback 2 and the Newport 2 that I have customized with Tamiya clear paints but am stumped on the head cover. Are you able to reveal your secret to the head cover make over? PM me if possible.

Thanks and stellar work!

If you have the older headcover, you bleach it or use dye remover on the dots then color it back in with a sharpie.

If you have the new headcover with the new fadeproof thread (supposedly to prevent the sun from bleaching it out, but I think it's to prevent customization) then you're going to have a hard time doing it. I've tried bleaching and dye removing one of the new ones and they're just cleaner than they were before. Didn't lose any color.

I thought the same thing when I tried to bleach out my newer HC to match my newest paint job. Scotty musta gotten wise to us redoing our own sticks and covers and put the kibbosh on it LOL.
