Phoenix April 6-13/2010-Good Courses for under $75

2nd the golfnow recommendation. There are very few good deals in Phoenix right now honestly. The snowbirds are still taking up most of the fair priced courses. Under $75 is tough this time of year. Some that may or may not be right around there are: Whirlwind, Talking Stick, TPC Champions course. You will have better luck pricing Mon-Thu and twilight rate.

I would definetely try to play Southern Dunes!

Hello Jason..I thank you for the input on the courses--I am one of those Snowbirds..coming in from Canada..I was wondering about Kopopelli ,Superstition Springs and Foothills..I see on Golfnow..the prices seem to be resonable?... James

I like Superstition Springs the best out of the courses listed. Foothills is so-so at best. Kokopelli gets alot of play because of location and decent price. I have played it 5-6 times and always scored well there, but the layout is kind of goofy. Lots of mounds in the middle of the fairways, weird. You can pipe a drive down the middle of the fairway and have the ball 2 feet below your feet.

I believe April 6th is the end of super high season and the beginning of the regular high season, so the prices should come down a bit. Check out golfnow.com as the others have said and don't pay rack rate anywhere. Try Southern Dunes, Las Sendas, or Long Bow, all should be under $70. If you want to go a little higher try to book Gold Canyon Dinosaur during the week and you might be able to down near the $70 dollar range. I also recently noticed Red Mountian Ranch has popped up on golfnow, this is a private course and really nice, i think it was around $85.

While not the typical Boulders or Troon Desert golf I would suggest looking at The Wigwam Gold course or if you want a great drive try Los Caballeros in Wickenburg for a great layout that does not get the Scottsdale volume.

Superstition Springs is pretty good, Kokopelli, not so good. Foothills I like but haven't played recently - I keep reading reviews that describe the conditioning as problematic.
