FJ Icon for less

Recommended Posts

Who knows where I can find these FJ Icon's for less than $299? There's one site (forgot which one) that asks international buyers (I'm Canadian) to send in photo ID and some other BS. They sold them for $195 USD. I just want to know if there are any online stores that sell products cheaper than retail and don't require international buyers to go through this hassle of photo ID.

Any thoughts?

I bought my ICONs from Golflocker.com and they were only $194.99. I'm pretty sure the style you selected is also the same price.

That's the one that makes you provide photo ID. If you live in the states, great, but to send them across the border I have to go through this hassle? No thanks.

Sorry, i wasn't aware of any policy like that as i'm domestic. Good luck finding them at the price you're looking for.

Sending in a photo ID to get the cheaper price you want is a hassle?

Hmm... :dntknw:

In fairness, he did say "some other BS"

Maybe they want a SS # or something similar that is used in Canada. I dunno? :dntknw:

This is directly from the golflocker.com website:

"Canadian Customers - Since Canadian banks will not verify any of your credit card details due to Canadian law, we require every customer that uses a credit card with a Canadian billing address to fax us a copy of your most recent credit card statement and photo ID."

Makes sense and I don't see how it's that bad.

You can't always have your cake and eat it too... and this seems like an acceptable compromise in my book. On the surface, it looks like a pretty innocuous way to save some money.

I'd rather spend that extra $25 at Golfsmith which has a distribution centre in Toronto. Also, that way, there's no duty and I receive them a lot sooner.

Thanks for the help.
