Wow, what finish is that? It looks incredible! How much was it?

I believe that is the "Misted Blue Torch" on stainless steel finish. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have been seriously considering sending in a putter for that same finish.

Looks like a torch'd finish on carbon steel that has gone past the golds, purples and deep blues, into the light blue/silver stages. Love that look and also the fact that it is one that is getting some great feedback.

VERY NICE! BOS does a great job. Please confirm the finish and metal of the putter (carbon or stainless). I'm sure you'll have quite a few people who'd like to ask for the same thing on their gamer.

Actually, none of the above.
It is the 'Aquamarine' finish that BOS offers on carbon.
I expected some more hues of color, but the blue/silver is rather incredible.
Definitely different than anything else in my stock.

This is interesting to me. I know you know your business so I know you are right. I had no idea that finish could be achieved by going past the purple/deep blue stage. I just always assumed it would keep getting darker til it looked basically burned. Do you have to polish the heck out of it after you get it to that point to reveal the color or something?

Of course I don't expect you to drop trade secrets or anything. I am just curious.

Not really a trade secret. I am happy to share what I have learned. I hope that the guys who are keeping an eye on me, here, see that I really love to help guys do their own work, whenever possible.
The light blue and then almost chrome looks come after the dark blues, on carbon steel. If you polish the head, as much as possible, it definitely helps the color be more consistant, throughout the process. It takes a few different compounds on a series of stitched cloth wheels to get the best polished look, IMHO.
I remember doing my handmade Byron Morgan and the result for one of the sessions was that burnt look that you speak of. Trying to remember, but having no success, just how long it was heated or what the colors really did. Wish my mind hadn't gone to mush, but working on that, too, LOL.
Give it a shot and show us all what results you get.
