22 putts? What'd you shoot?

I sold an SRT 2 ball and really liked it. I like my current putter but sometimes miss the 2ball. The three ball, as you pointed out, is just so big, I picked one up the other day at a play it again sports and was just shocked at how big it is.

And yeah, what DID you shoot?

wow, ive never had a round with that few putts. what did you shoot? you are tearing it up lately, huh? 240 yard 3 irons, 22 putts... nice!

I'm holding out for the 4-ball version

86... 18 over. 1 hole killed me on the front, and 2 holes killed me on the back. Total over on those 3 holes- 13... They were the hardest holes I have ever played. Narrow fairways, blind shots, and OB 10 yards from the green on all 3 sides.

This putter is so amazing though, I will keep it in my bag until it falls apart (which is not likely lol)

The face feels great when you putt, similar to a Scotty Cameron. It is alot heavier than my last putter, but got used to that fairly quickly. Lining up is so much more accurate. I used to line my putts up with a line on the ball, but this is even more accurate If I would have used my line yesterday, I would have had at least 5 more putts.

[/size][size=2]My 3 iron was great yesterday too! ground was a little dry, allowing it a little more roll (I have a draw). Hitting all of 240 with the roll.[/size][size=2]
[/size][size=2]I must say, before anyone criticizes me, this was a sand green course. I play grass friday, and will post how it does, but so far it has blown my blade putter (Ping My Day) out of the water.[/size]

Never played a par 68 course...interesting.


Not to be a ******, but if you're hitting 3 irons 230, why arent you hitting more GIRs? Thats one of the harder clubs to hit. Is there just a lack of control with the 230 or is that just an oddly good club for you?

Some bad chip shots. My chipping in the 30-80 yard range needs work.

One of my best rounds ever was at a par 68 course as well, Pecan Valley at Mohawk Park in Tulsa. I want to say 5500 from the "tips" . there were a couple holes that were driver, chip shot, one putt birdie.

Back to the OP though, I never got on with the 2ball / 3ball craze, i always felt like the head was floating out in space. I wanted to go with the pack, but just not my flavor. Glad it has helped you though.
