I find my Hi-Bore workable already..much more then some other large drivers.

In other words, you do't have an answer to my question? :yahoo:

hahaha

ok if you wanna be semi-rude and roll your eyes and say haha.. how about learn how to hit a draw or a fade... :bad: before blaming the club. My hi-bore is plently workable

I've talked to cleveland tour dept. they are still using the tour hibore that they started with at this point...it is what they are issuing the staffers who are playing the hibore for the time being....it is also what I am playing and like Johnny I find it more workable than most drivers out there....more so than my r5 tp so I'm not really sure what the validity of the lack of workability statement is...I'll post if I find anything else out

come on johnny, you gotta admit that was a little funny. :yahoo:

not really actually...

think about it.. Hi-Bore = distance through technology ! IE. hot face, low COG, less spin.. all those things mean less workability. Hitem long and straight is the order of the day. Contrary to all that I find my tour issue hi-bore much more workable then say a R7 460 or even my FT-3. I know a clev rep and have heard nothing...but you know how reps go. :yahoo:

Are the tour HiBores .335 bore, or are they all .350?

I didn't think any of pga tour players were even playing the hibore. The ones that were, canned it. I thought the reasons were to high of a ballflight and no workability.

I don't understand this "workability" issue among tour pros . . .

Every time I've seen tour players up close and in personal, with the driver, they're hitting shots that are straight and fall to either the right or left side. There aren't many big curves going on from what I've seen.

Everyone talks about Vijay loving the left to right ball flight, I wouldn't call his ball flight left to right. I'd call it a straight shot that starts out high and falls to the right side no more than 1-3 yards. I've been following him pretty religiously in Houston for the last 2 years, and I've never seen him curve a ball with the driver more than 5 yards (to my eye). He might push or pull the ball, but he's not bending it that much.

How could the "straightness" of the hibore be such a detriment to someone who basically hits straight shots all day?

So why did all the pros dump the Hi-bore?

Don't know, I'm not a Tour pro. Could be trajectory issues, setup issues (loft and shaft), feel issues, visual issues, hell even tee height is different . . . Or it could be a combination of several . . .

If I made my living playing golf and all of a sudden you were asked to play a very important club which required you to do everything different from what you've been used to, I'd be a little scared to swtich as well.
