I can't play my last hole!

The final hole at my home course is a 350 yard par 4 with a slight dog leg but only a dog leg due to a few trees.

I just cant seem to play it if I have a decent score going I make bogeys and even doubles yet when I don't have a score going I par or birdie it nearly every time.

I don't hit different clubs or anything its always 3 wood then a 52 depending on wind it is either easy or full but thats it i dont pl.ay it any different either times.

Anybody got any advice on how to get over this mental block I have?

You could try hitting a diff club off the tee and then thus a diff one into the green. Maybe a 5w and a PW would work better?

Logically it may not make sense, but the different feel of hitting different clubs may make all the difference. That being that'll you be in a different spot with a different angle most likely.

Only way to stop choking is to continue to put yourself in the position and try to break through, once you do, it will be much easier in the future.

Hit a long iron. You don't need a lot of distance on a hole like that. It sounds like this particular hole is all about positioning, even if you end up hitting 3i, 9i.

play it first a few times, instead of last, that can help take some pressure off, once you get the feel of it, add it back to the end of your round.

As far as actually playing it go with an iron or 5 wood off the tee, change things up a bit.

WHen complaining to my pro about always bogeying 18 at my club, when I need a par to get in with a good round he said to me, "Go home, pour a shot of scotch, sit in your most comfortable chair and imagine birdieing it in every way imaginable for 10 mins. every night. Then when you stand on the tee go for birdie." It is amazing how often I have tap in pars on that hole now.

The way I play sometimes, I would still be hungover by the time I got to 18
