NXT Tour (baby prov1)

Has anyone done a good comparo between the prior NXT Tour (392 dimple) and the current version (332 dimple) of the same ball? I know Titleist boasts better performance and yada, yada, yada out of the new version of the ball, but don't they always?

Anyhow, I enjoy playing with the prior version and I'm a bit leery of switching to the new version when the former is still available in stores at a great discount. Has anyone done a side by side? Search is currently failing me both here and on google for a good writeup.

I have tried the 2010 NXT Tour and thought it was a little hard compared to last years but checked up about the same for me. Anyone else have some thoughts????

I had tried both the NXT and NXT Tour several years ago and hated them. The NXT felt rock-like and the NXT Tour just seemed a little dead and felt "heavy" off the clubface. I tried the 2010 NXT Tour back in the spring and liked it a lot. It is my everyday ball now. My golf swing is a good bit different than it was when I last tried them so I don't know if it's me or the NXT Tour that changed but it's just a nice, firm-feeling ball that really gets good distance for me. Not a ton of spin apparent but it will not take off and run to the back of the green or anything like that. I say it plays firmer than a ProV1 but then it ought to being a Surlyn cover ball instead of Urethane. It's as good a $30 ball as I've found for my 90mph driver swing and 17 handicap game.

They have made great strides with the NXT Tour. It plays like a poor man's Pro V1 and it performs better than previous models around the greens. A good ball at a good price
